M.H SABOO SIDDIQ COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING is located in the heart of SOUTH bOMBAY.It has easy access through trains and buses.The most unique thing about the location of this college is that it has access through central railway, western railway as well as the harbour railway line.There is mumbai central bus depot just at a five minute walk from the college which is local travelling hub as well as bus service for whole maharashtra state.
'MY FIRST DAY EXPERIENCE':My first day of college was the unique day of my college life because before cuming here I completed my diploma which was a school type institute.Strict on timings and academics.So I had a very little knowledge of real college life.When I entered the college all the students were enjoying, playing in groups and sharing jokes which I was not much used to in my previous life.
But when I entered my class room I was shocked to see that the classroom's first four to five benches were empty and people were fighting to sit at last benches.Whole day professers came in and out and lectures were finished irrespective of whether we understood or not .The one thing which I noticed on the first day was that I got the real freedom and I entered the new life of competition where u got the real freedom but u needed to beat the competition by ur own strenghts.
'COLLEGE FACILITIES':The college campus is very big and as the days are passing it is really changing in terms of construction and facilities.It has a big library which looks like old reading room.The classroom and lab facilities of our department was really good.The labs have centralized a.c and classes are very nicely maintained.Our department was situated on top floor so the view was nice.
'MY DEPARTMENT STAFF':My view on professors is very mixed.All the professers were somewhat lacking in terms of technical knowledge.As all were either B.E holders or pursuing the masters degree except some professors who were masters holders.The great thing about our professers was that they were not at all interested in harrasing students.
'MOST RUDE PERSONALS OF COLLEGE':The worst people of our college is our office; where leaving some persons all are lazy, not helpers or taking advantage of their positions.
'CANTEEN':There is mixed feeling about our canteen because the food which they provide is not of that expense as compared to the money they take.But good thing is that it was a good hangout place for students who leave their lectures.
'EVENTS':There were certain interesting events which are held in our college such as'AMBROSIA', 'GREEN' AND'PURPLE'.The ambrosia is a event in which u are given stalls for rent and u can arrange either games in it or sell any food or products.The green is an event in which programs regarding environment is taken into consideration.The purple is interesting as function is done on stage such as dances, script or shows.
'ACADEMICS':This college is affiliated to mumbai university and the most good thing about this college is its placement for students.The average companies which arrive per year is atleast 6-8.The college academics is very good as it is considered as one of the top engineering college in mumbai.The crowd is good and the cutoff is high so only bright students are admitted.
'NEARBY PLACES TO VISIT':The hangout places other than college is city centre mall, Mc donalds, Kfc and byculla zoo which is very near.The college vicinity is very clam as it is situated near nagpada police station.
"ADVICE':The college is very good for people who are really dedicated to work and little care about enjoying college life.
