I live in Bangalore. On 19th Feb 2010 morning I have booked 2 meru cabs to drop me from my house to city railway station. I have asked them to report to residence at 5 pm. They confirmed both the bookings and intimated me by sms that they will send the cab and driver details half an hour before the requested time.


I waited till 4:45 pm but there was no communication from them. So I called up their customer support. I got a reply saying that I will get the details in few minutes. Nothing happened till 5:10 pm(Requested reporting time is 5 pm). I called them up again and shocked to hear from them that they won't be able to send the cabs due to some technical problems and asked me to look for some other alternative. They gave some silly reason that their messaging system is not working and not able to reach the driver.


I really got shocked to hear such a stupid and silly reason from a cab service provider who are in the business from the past 4 years. After blasting the their customer care executive, he sent one cab at 5:36 pm. The second cab didn't come at all.


I almost missed my train because of this delay. I have decided never to rely on Meru cabs and I am not going to use their service in future and I would recommend all not to use such highly unprofessional cab service.


How can they say that they will not be able to provide the cab for a confirmed request? For some serious reason if they are not able to provide the cab they should inform well in advance so that we can look for some other alternative. This is heights of unprofessional-ism.


Request all the users to avoid using this cab service provider.
