*Indiatimes Meramail
Exposed*
Times Internet Ltd. – A Times Group Company which has been
selling **Indiatimes
Meramail** email services, has been cheating on thousands of customers who subscribed
Indiatimes meramail with a domain name.
It was figured out that Times Internet Ltd. has been registering the
domains of its customers in the name of un-authorised persons instead
of in the name of the customers who are legal owners and registrant of their
domains. The company has committed various offences by illegally retaining
the customers’ domains, captivating the intellectual property, violating the
privacy and rules of domain registration. Strong evidences are available and
more are being collected.
Evidences will be published very soon, while in the meantime we further
investigate the matter and collect more evidences which stand strong in the
legal proceedings.
Moreover, their customer care is not accessible on phones and the senior
officers have been irresponsive to the complaints of the customers having
serious concern over the ownership of their domains, email correspondence and
valuable business.
If any of you, your friends or known persons have registered their
domains or websites through Indiatimes, check and confirm your domain whois
data and ensure that you also have the domain control panel access. To check
the whois data of your domain, you may access the website of any domain
registrar and look for the link which states “Whois” or “whois Lookup” or
“Whois Database”. Some renowned registrars and whois websites are listed below:
https://whois.domaintools.com ( to lookup
your domain whois, you may also type the URL as: https://whois.domaintools.com/yourdomain.comhttps://whois.directi.comhttps://who
is.incynerinc.comhttps://whois.networksolutions.com
At the result page, you should check that the following fields denote
your contact information:
Registrant: (must be in favor of the
owner of the domain)Administrative Contact: (must be in
favor of the owner of the domain or the trusted and designated person)Technical Contact: (may be in favor of
the owner of the domain or the trusted and designated person)Billing Contact: (must be in favor of
the owner of the domain or the designated person who makes payment and / or receives billing and payment
notifications)
If the contact information in the whose records does not fulfill the
above, you are misguided and your legal right over your intellectual property
is violated.
In addition, you or your technical representative must be having the
control panel access and the knowledge to modify / update the whose contact.
