Story:

As the members who read my reviews know that I am crazy about Sidney Sheldon, this book is a continuation of “The Other Side Of Midnight”, the same characters who were not given that much of exposure and their lives after experiencing the other side of midnight. Catherine Alexander woke up screaming in a convent with the same dream of man and a woman trying to drown her in the middle of a lake. She had no idea of who she was how was she connected to that dream and who he was… the tantalizing flashes of memory were too fast for her to examine. Those were not dreams; they were pieces of her past, of who she was. Her husband had tried to kill her…Catherine wanted to come back from the dead and this idea of hers reached the man who had kept her at the convent-Constantin Demiris who’s empire could not be placed on the map. He was one of the wealthiest men in the world with incalculable influence as his tentacles were everywhere. Constantin Demiris with an incisive mind, physically striking and in hid veins ran the blood of gods. The only connection of Noelle Page, Larry Douglas, their illicit affair and their murder was Catherine .He had to get of her but very carefully.

The setting is Athens, Greece with these two characters Catherine, a beautiful woman shadowed by tragedy trying to return to reality and Constantin who never forgave anybody, setting his deadly sights on Catherine because of the treacherous, deadly secret. As the book continues Demiris kept an eye on Catherine all the time giving her luxuries, a job and Catherine was left wondering as to why was he doing all this? To whoever was Catherine attracted to or whoever was connected to the deadly secret was murdered no matter who he was Tony Rizzoli who sealed a ruthless pact of mastery over men and women but for a brief moment. But one woman was out to get Demiris, his wife Melina to save the man who would never betray her. Demiris tasted his own medicine and finally found it bitter.

Catherine met her match who loved her, Alan Hamilton and had a close encounter with death. And Demiris, the powerful man finally experienced the deep silence of eternity.

An amazing book with a vivid tale capturing the influence and the influential and mastery over human emotions. A must for all.
