I wanted to take time to appreciate all the efforts Medway Hospital has taken during my and my mother's admission to this hospital when we were infected with Covid 19. This was not the first time w.r.t our experience in Medway but had got done surgery for my mother in June 2021. My mother had an unspecified lump in the breast and during that time, we had got in touch with Dr. Vignesh who immediately asked us to do the surgery as it was at an early stage. The surgery was arranged in Medway hospital and there even difficult to get the bed in the hospital. Somehow the doctor arranged a good room and the surgery was done successfully and Doctor showed the lump that was removed. Post that, the complete 1-night stay was so well arranged and Dr. Vignesh was always available 24x7 in case of any issues.
We were really stunned by the world-class service provided with so much care taken by the complete staff of Medway. They always say that “First Impression is the Best Impression in life” and Medway proved that we were in the right hospital with amazing care being taken. The Discharge was also so easy with Ms. Bhuvana ensuring all the insurance claims are done soon such they get approval ASAP and my mother could get discharged immediately. The doctor even called and asked to give a discount for the balance payable. This really came from an unexpected corner and Ms. Bhuvana immediately applied the discount and we paid it happily because it was the first time in my life that the hospital has been so kind to the patients. They were more interested in relationships rather than money. This impression was always green in my mind even today.
The second experience was w.r.t admission for Covid treatment for my mother and myself. One of my relatives, Mr. Sanjeev had a lot of appreciation for Medway hospital when he was treated successfully when he had 70% lung infection. At that time, it was Mr. Senthil who advised him to immediately get admitted else this would have ended in ICU. He was treated so well and even today, he appreciates Medway Hospital for giving him his second life. Based on my relative advice, I had sent my CT Scan report for both mine and mother and were 40% and 20% lung infected respectively. Mr. Senthil advised not to waste time and getting early treatment will help recover fast. Based on his word, got admitted that night immediately and after 2 days my mother also got admitted. The 7 days treatment by Medway doctors, staff, nurses, office boys, and round-the-clock support, I have never seen such a world-class service. When we wanted to eat something tasty, the doctor asked the staff to make sure they get what they want today and the same was done.
Every day the blood tests were done to check for any issue followed by numerous visits by the doctors, Physio, etc. and 24x7 monitoring of our health by each of them is unforgettable. We have never seen such a world-class service by any other hospital. During Discharge, with insurance claims being so bad, the only respite was Medway hospital who reduced and gave as much discount as possible to ensure that we don’t feel the pinch of expenses as we had to shell out personal money with insurance offered by Cognizant was so pathetic. This was supported so well by Mr. Senthil and he was the main person who also got approval from Dr. Palaniappan for a discount on the balance payable. I would say “ Mr. Senthil and Dr. Palaniappan were the Saviors of god because of whom we got treated on time with no complications and we were made sure all the parameters are fine before being discharged.
I would give FIVE STARS to such hospitals who are the epitome of mankind in today’s heartless world. Please keep up your good work for the betterment of this world. You are the guiding star for all others to learn that Relation is more important than money. Thanks once again for all the support and care that you have taken during my and my mother's admission to this hospital for Covid treatment.
