Consultation Procedure/ Excessive Billing/ Forced Testing/
In my experience, the Doctors here are very sneaky and manipulative. My doctor cut me off after 10 minutes in between my appointment with her and passed me on to someone else in her team without explaining anything to me.
I was then pressured into doing tests that I had already done before. I was not forced to do anything but I was coerced into doing my tests again from this Hospital.
Dr. Nxxxxxx deliberately sent out of her room and I wasn't able to talk face to face with her.
I booked an appointment with Dr. Nxxxxxx Kxxxxxx after searching Medanta's official website. I went to Dr. Nxxxxxx after paying her 1, 500 INR as her consultation fees.
I told her about my problems and was explaining to her what I was going through.
In between Dr. Nxxxxxx was interrogating me about my Family background and my Academics.
Some of her questions were strange.
She asked me about my Father, what car he drives, how many houses he has, my father's boss, etc.
I was confused and felt strange but I answered her.
After about 10 minutes of questioning me, she sends me to Dr. Axxxxxxx in the next room.
I was confused again but did what she asked. When I go to Dr. Axxxxxxx she scolds me and asks me "Why am I here?"
I was startled, uneasy and agitated. I tell her whether I should start from the beginning as I already explained my background to Dr. Nxxxxxx.
She looks at me and then rushes out of the room.
Another doctor comes and takes me out of the room into another room where she tells me to wait there.
After a few minutes, this Doctor tells me that Dr. Axxxxxxx wants me to do a few tests.
I told her that I already had done the tests and had those reports with me already.
She tells me that those reports are unclear and incomplete.
Neither Dr. Nxxxxxx nor Dr. Axxxxxxx discussed with me face to face about these tests and why I was supposed to do them again.
They sent a third party to tell me this.
In my previous reports, I had done the Rorschach test, MMPI, MMPI-2.
This third party Doctor, who I don't know, tells me to do these tests again.
I wanted to go back to Dr. Nxxxxxx but I didn't understand why I was being made to do these tests again.
Dr. Nxxxxxx didn't even allow me to finish and simply sent me to Dr. Axxxxxxx in between the session.
In Medanta each of these tests costs 2, 500 INR. I had done these tests at a Clinic earlier where each of them cost 1, 000 INR only.
I also did 2 of them from Max Hospital where they cost 2, 000 each.
These tests are nothing but fill-out forms that the patient is supposed to fill out and is time-consuming.
I don't know the name of this doctor who was in the room with me but she told me I will have to do them or I won't be able to see the doctor again. I was quite angry and asked them why do I have to do them again?
Every Doctor should accept the reports which the patient already has why do I have to do the same tests over and over again?
I spent that day on the tests after spending 7, 500 on them which was very expensive especially since I already did them previously.
After doing those tests the receptionist tells me that I have to pay fees to get the results from Dr. Axxxxxxx. I reminded the receptionist that I had already paid for the tests and had paid for the appointment with Dr. Nxxxxxx already.
She tells me Dr. Axxxxxx says that I have to pay again.
I was frustrated as for a counseling session that costs 1500 INR on their website I ended up paying a total of 10, 200 INR.
When I go inside Dr. Axxxxxxx's office she is sitting there doing her makeup and was busy on the phone. After 10 minutes she starts my therapy.
I am very disappointed to find out that those tests are not going to be used for the therapy. She wasn't even using all the 3 tests that I had filled out before. She says that the report will take 2 days to process.
I asked her why was I made to do those tests again if they weren't being used? She tells me that she needs them for reference. I didn't understand this.
And now I had to repeat whatever I had told Dr. Nxxxxxx.
She then shouts at me for asking too many questions and wasting her time.
In a weird moment, she passed wind while I was explaining something and then blamed it on me.
She said that the bathroom was there if I needed it
I was offended and told her it wasn't me. She knew it.
It's only now when I'm writing this I understand how sneaky and manipulative doctors at Medanta are. This is very manipulative.
Dr. Axxxxxxx eventually sends me the reports after a week. I have no idea why I was made to do those tests again if they were never to be used for the session, to begin with.
And then in my Test Reports, which she sends after 1 week, she calls me immature.
I'm not coming to this Hospital again for anything.
These 2 doctors coerced me into doing tests which she wasn't even going to use.
