Mcleodganj is a superb hill station situated in the Kangra district of Himachal Pardesh. It is situated at the height of 6831 feet. It is 9 km away from Dharmshala. It’s a very unique & cool place for visit. Cool & beautiful weather will surely attract your heart. It is different from other hill station because of its culture & atmosphere. You will find mostly Tibetan people around you. It is also famous for the residence of 14th Dalai Lama.

How to Reach:-You can go to Mcleodganj by air, by train & by bus.

By air: - The nearest airport to Mcleodganj is Gaggal airport. Taxies are easily available from there to Mcleoganj via Dharamshala.

By Train: - Tains are also available; but nearest station is Pathankot. From Pathankot you have to take buses or taxies for Mcleodganj.

By Bus: - Buses are easily available for Mcleodganj via Dharamshala. You can take deluxe & semi-deluxe buses for comfortable journey.

Where to stay: - A lot of luxury & affordable hotels are easily available in Mcleodganj for stay.

Places for visit in Mcleodganj: -

Tibet Market: - Tibet market is very different & attractive. You will find different types of ornaments & monument of ancient time. You can purchase different types of bags, dresses, statues & ornaments.

Dal Lake: - Dal lake is main attraction in Mcleodganj. It is situated at an elevation of 1700 meters above sea level. Surrounded by beautiful trees, you will feel magic in the climate here. Misty atmosphere is very attractive, calm & magical.

Bhagsunag Fall: - Bhagsunag fall is approximately 2 kilometer away from Mcleodganj. You can go there by some vehicle or by walking. Walking will be better as you enjoy the climate on the way. There is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva. And market of Bhagsunag is also quite interesting. And when you will reach to that fall; you will feel like…just wow…!!!! Cool water & weather of that fall is just amazing.

Bhagwan Buddha Mandir: - Bhagwan Buddha Mandir is situated in the Tibet market. It is a very beautiful. Your soul will feel peace in this monastery.

Dharamshala: - Dharamshala is also a very good place for tourists. A lot of attractive & mind-boggling views & valleys you can see here. Beautiful hills, different types of trees, gardens & ancient temples are the main lure of this place. Greenery is just amazing there.

Other than these, you can also go to Dharamkot, Kotwali Bazar, War Memorial place, Kangra Devi Temple & Kangra Fall. And also can visit to Jawala ji Mata & Chintpurni Devi Mandir.

Food: - Well, you can enjoy Tibetan dishes like momos, thupka & thenthuk etc. All these dishes are really very much delicious.
