My wife had a natural delivery there a few days back. Though the delivery process was fine but everything after that was a NIGHTMARE!!!
This long review might not affect you nor the hospital, but I would never ever want a mother and her child or any other person in need to suffer like my child and my wife suffered.
NO INTER-DEPARTMENTAL COORDINATION: My wife was issued discharged the next day, without consulting the pediatrics department, where my child was already diagnosed with jaundice. Now I had to fight with the management to readmit my wife, as I could not leave my child alone in the hospital.
NO CARE: The gynecologist had prescribed ‘solid food’ but as we shifted from the delivery room to the private room, she was served ‘liquid diet’. And this would be rectified after complaining and shouting once, but as the effect wore off, they used to bring back the liquid diet back. My wife was given a solid breakfast at 11:30 am, after several complaints. And this happened after the day she had faced countless contractions and had delivered a healthy baby.
UNHYGIENIC: The first night I spent there, we were tormented by a flood of mosquitos and other insects and after complaining several times, the housekeeping came up with only ONE SOLUTION; they handed me an insect-killing racket (which didn’t work) I had to leave my wife and newborn (who was now covered by one of my wife’s dupattas) in the middle of the night to hunt for the same device, but which could at least work.
CARELESS ATTITUDE: My wife’s gynecologist prescribed some medicines after her delivery, as she had got some stitches, but those medications were never given to her once she was shifted to her room. For one whole day, she went without antibiotics and painkillers. When begged for painkillers, we received only a petty Calpol medicine and that too only twice in a day, whereas the gynecologist had prescribed a dolo650, thrice a day!!!
PETTY SERVICE: The rooms didn’t have warm water, their plumbing was not working and they gave us an Emersion Rod to warm water for my wife’s ‘Sitz Bath’. They took away this rod also, once its work was done and we never saw it back again.
HEARTLESS NURSING: The nurses didn’t even bother to give sponge-baths, medicines, and occasional help. They all preferred to stay back on their nurse station and ‘pretend’ to work, while the patient’s attendant did all the work.
I hope my review helps you and your family in your time of need.
