One
Neo is the anagram for One. Neo is alive and kicking ass. Agent Smith has migrated to his new version, with ability to multiply or make copies, like a computer virus. (Its Ironic that he made the analogy of Humans to computer viruses in Matrix - 1, and now he has all characteristics of a virus).
Matrix Reloaded is full of religious overtones and underlying messages, which cant be noticed or figured out in one screening of the movie. You have to watch is again and again to find out all the hidden clues and meanings.
Revelations
Lots of gasping truths are revealed in the movie, The Oracle may be or is a Computer program, just like the agents in the Matrix. Neo was not the first One, there were 5 more Ones before him, and would he succeed where they failed?? We finally get to meet the Architect of the Matrix and hear what he has to say. Neo is able to stop and influence/feel the Sentinels outside the matrix, in Zion in particular, does it mean that Zeon may also be a Matrix???
About the movie in General
The movie is extremely well made, with better effects then the first, but misses out slightly somewhere..you dont really feel fulfilled after you come out of the theatre, something is amiss. May be you are more confused or it may be because of the abrupt ending, with the 'To be Continued' written on the screen, while Neo is unconscious, after a 'mental' tryst with a group of Sentinels.
I don’t think there is any other movie made that makes us think and debate like the Matrix, what is the Matrix, for all you know the true purpose of the matrix may not be what you believe, it may be something else.
Characters
All the characters of The Matrix are carried forwarded to Reloaded. Morpheous, Neo, Trinity, The Oracle are still around with Agent Smith, but we are introduced to some more characters who may have an important role to play, Commander Lock and the council members, may be important and of-course the Architect and the Merovingian (from whom Neo and Team gets the Key maker), also we are introduced to Morpehous's love interest, I forgot her name though...
Questions
The movie leaves you with lots of questions.
Who is the Oracle, is she really a computer program and if so what is her purpose??
What was the guy Bane (into whom Agent Smith transferred himself) trying to do when he was slashing his hands with a knife??
Is Agent Smith really inside him? So is Zeon Safe?
Who is the architect, is he too a computer program, then who is his creator?
What was the reason for the sudden ability of Neo in stopping the Sentinels outside the matrix, how was that he could feel them?
Is Zeon part of the matrix and is Neo a program himself?
What is the significance of the Silver spoon given to neo by the boy? Are we missing anything?
Lots and lots of questions which are left unanswered..but hopefully we will get answers to these and much more when Revolutions premieres in November, till then, keep thinking..
Bye
