Maruti Suzuki omni is so familiar with all the people of India. Maruti omni is one of the well sold van through out the centuries in India. After so many years, they did not bring much changes to this utility vehicle. I have been driving this vehicle last five years. But today also there no much changes in interiar as well as exteriar in new omni. There are no safety measures given in this vehicle.
No air bags, engine is just under front seats. There is no bonnet so if the vehicle hit directly to some thing, it will be very dangerous to the front seat travellers. There is no ac, no power stearing, it is conjusted inside. There are eight seat available. Both petrol and CNG engine is available.
Mileage of this vehicle is around 17- 20. It is very use to go through conjusted areas. Engine power is less and we can not trust the vehicle because its weight is less and there are chances to turn arond if it go faster. In cities it is eazy to drive this vehicle. Good for families, its suspension is very bad and you get back ache if you travel long journey in this van. Cost of this vehicle is very less but safety measures are not provided. Omni should be improved.
