Esteem is a very good car in the middle segment. The cost of maintenance of Esteem is also not very high like some other new cars. The car is pretty stable on high speeds in highway also. The car on long drive give a mielage to me of about 14.5 - 15 KM. The mileage in city is very less about 9-10 only. The Pickup of the car is also good. The maximum speed I have driven is about 135 and the car was pretty stable at those speed. You dodnot get much noise and suspension is also good. The Air conditioning is pretty decent. It has a very good boot space for luggage. the amount of luggage that will go in is amazing.
But the car is pretty low in sitting is is not very comfortable for old people to sit. The back seat is not very comforable to seat 3 Big people. The AC vent need to be improved a bit. When u take the car for a service at a authorised outlet you would end up paying more on labour cost rather than material cost which I think need to be addressed seriously by Maruti. Also at some place the body is so fragile taht the body can get dented by just putting pressing it with hand at some place
Overall it is a very good car for a person who does not want to spend to much in maintenance and wants comfort during Driving
