Recently booked the newly luanched car.
The background is that over last year I had been telling Maruti Suzuki sales that in case there is a new model launched, please update me, when I got to know about ECCO and ERTIGA from outside sources, the MARUTI SUZUKI SALES pretended that they are not aware of it and when these products were launched they were already booked for 3 months waiting.
Luckily they called me for exchange for my M800 with there new RITZ for pre-launch, but that too was around 7 days after the booking for the pre-launch was initiated.
Later they started forcing me to sell my old car to TRUE value as fast as possible so that I do not miss the RITX pre launch. Rs. 90000 was awarded for the year 2008 M800 AC car, and they hammered me that its the right pricing of the old car. They asked me to pay ALL the amount and deposite the entire money on 5th Sept, did not give me a chance to try selling my M800 outside. After I transferred the car(in haste) to them, the following 3 days I got multiple calls from carwale users interested in my M800 for Rs. 1, 55, 000.
MARUTI SUZUKI had clearly cheated there.
For the new RITZ, there was no information shared on the variants and the difference in the features, nor the upcoming colors. I was again hammered that the WHITE colour was good and that will make my car arrive faster. The new colours(Blue and others) were not disclosed, but I see number of customers did somehow had booked RITZ with the Blue colour.
My verdict for all prospective MARUTI SUZUKI customers:
1) DO GET the evaluation of your older car from others or carewale.com, do not ever trust MARUTI SUZUKI SALES.
2) DO CONFIRM that you are not treated like a thrid class customer, you are informed about all the colours, varients etc. before you select the model
3) Now if you have no claims for the older car insurance, you can claim for lower insurance for the first year for the newer car, BUT MARUTI SUZUKI SALES will hurry you up and tell you that the the reduced insurance is not applicable for the first year. BUT the FACT is that if you sell your car, complete the deal before buying the new car, you can ask for reduced(40%) insurance on the new car. Need not wait for the next year.
4) The current lazy model for MARUTI SUZUKI SALES is( in calendar days)
day#0 you get the call from MARUTI SUZUKI SALES that your car is alloted
day#1 you hand over the older car say for Rs. 90, 000
day#1 you pay the full remaining amount
day#2 your old car value is transferred to the new car and day#2 is the day when they consider the full payment was done
day#3 is the date you can order for the accessories
day#5 is the date when you will get the RTO registered car
NOW as I get the news, if you have contacts at MARUTI SUZUKI SALES, you can get the car in your hands on day#3
For other car sellers like SKODA, you hand over your older car when you get the delivery or the new car, so you do not have to move around in AUTOs for 6 days
