In my house a automatic car is essential so that everyone can drive although everybody know manual gear driving but due to traffic and irratic indian public driving habit that drive is hoch poch.lol. So in hurry I just exchange out my 2 yr old alto 800 with new alto k10 ags metallic silver.


Well in cracking deal I really appreciate maruti sales dept they trained sales one to stick to customer like sticky paper and push sales. Lol


Well.


I booked metallic silver color as red that I wanna see is not in stock at that time.and I already using same color car alto 800 earlier and I liked silver one easy to maitain and always look good if properly maintained.


Dealer experience: I booked car at kp automobile raja park jaipur. Ex show price was 4, 24, 000 on 26 july .all paid cash via cheque and salesman is frequently handling all thing well they offer test drie but I already done that earlier in sales camp of maruti. Dealership is clean but quite congested instead of other 2 dealership from where I purchased my previous two cars. Nor salesmen able to show me available stock colors in real just I decide to checkout in catalogue. Nor salesmen know much technical about car as per his behaviour . second on delivery time instead of apx 45 minutes delivery shedule that idiot make me sit more 1 hr 45 minutes watching cr assistant face unknowingly. And also he make me signout several empty forms and paper that belong to rto I said atleast just fill up properly atleast iam purchasing car not vegetables from street vendor. But his behaviour was not so appropriate . even he make me sign out paper in which my old car exhange value shown less what decided on paper. And in that case there is still 1000-2000 rs difference left out that if I say seen as outstanding due. Even he said as freebie mudflap or body cover provided but that idiot not stand on his commitment and forget about freebie after delivery and on two three reminder for that as I said atleast mudflap to laga dena 300 rs because its not available outside he always repeat one thing I will give u sir next day.well leave all these things as salesmen are liers and thats all sales tactics.

lets talk about car


Looks- well its simple mix of alto 800 and some other car I think and simple looking good looking car petal light lamps and chrome line on grill and black tone window beading and gate handle make sober looks well looks are decent and not for racing sprits and I dont like decals etc on this simple car that makes it look like bhangar. Inside dashboard is plain and upholstery is matching well very simple looks.


Dashboard and other plastic item looks not so sturdy even scuff plates comes out on first day. But just of min standard.


Music system: its top notch vxi version fitted with single din with usb and aux input music system that may be nipon unit. And its good on low volume but cracks on high volume fm reception is also not so strong. But play decent music on low volume music lover may need to feel upgrade it.


Car inner space and seating: well its 5 seater car and u got two small suitcase space in dicky after removing parcel tray. Below 5ft 8 inch I thing can seat comfortably but above I said no to this car afterall its still Japanese car maker product and kei car that not meant to stuff tall heavy americans like one lol. I also feel room inside car is not so big even feel less than alto 800 and as in alto 800 we can fit five person but in alto k10 5 person hardly manage to sit. Forget about to sit comfortably five person. .


Steering: it has power steerung and easy to drive at low speed and high also I feel no problem in it as iam person that able to drive even age old jeeps in which forget about power steering . so steering control is satisfactory and handling till 80-90 km seen good till now as above that speed limit iam not crusing it as it is just 2000 km run and near crcrossing breakin period. After that I can rev it. For first 2500 km drive at max 60 kmph and 2500 rpm not crossing over it. So car new engine srt propwrly to over our driving habit as new car ecu are in learning phase.


Now main thing comes AGS or automatic gear shift. That what maruti says it basically manual gear system with actuator that with intelligent computer mapping throttle input and other thing and change gears in blink of eye. Well I drive nano amt as both gear unitare from magneti mirrali company of italy that suply amt units to almost every amt car manufacturer of india although renault like one comes with own different amt but all one basically functioning same. Even bosch have its own system that I think also with start/stop engine facility to save fuel. This amt technology earlier tested and used for formula cars from there adopted to general commuters car. Well lets come to real world. Alto ags have two mode fully automatic and manual sports mode. In fully just slide gear stick to up to reverse and down to forward and go. And if wanna go manual put stick in neutral and shift to left side and up to down gear and down move gears up like 1.2.3.4.5 in manual mode car not shifting gears to high u need to push stick by juding speed same like manual but if car slow downs it change to low gears automatically even in manual mode same like an automatic mode and most important ur car start and shift from neutral to high gears one u press break and and release it else beep beep alarms and break sign shown on dash light. It has crwal function ones u stop cars turns to gear 1 when release break it crawl like walking in gear 1 good for city drive many people said bumper to bumper drive is difficult in this amt car but from 14 yrs manual to shift to. Amt and after few month iam driving same like manual bumper to bumper driving it takes time to understand new car and nothing else. Well gear shift is good but if put throttle instant and think ur car jump to high gear like manual its not working definately in that manner here u feel slight lag in gear shift. Means if u throttle hard like manual either u feel jerk or car not able to move out easily . well it takes some millisecond to make gear shift. U need to learn how to throttle decentle particularly at pre fixed speed at which each gear change happen u need to give mili sec lag in throttle input that u r habitual after few month so this car r not for racing spree or offroader or those autodriver like youngester that jerking there cars even manual one to rev out like autodriver. I think best driving where not copassenger even u also notfeel gear change or lag and jerk. Although someone feel bad and some feel good specially ladies and older one and ones that seeing traffic menace in daiy life while driving. Company also state if some malfunction happen to amt unit or it heats a yellow gear warning light glow up on dash u. Need to cool down ur car till that goes and than drive and chevkout it to maruti asc. Well amt is for decent drivers that have patience to drive it smoothly . this car is comfortable if u drive decently else u feel what the hack is this thing and frustrated .


Engine -69 bhp alto k10 series engine is good one and give peppy ride if u put slight throttle u feel good power output not sluggishness car runs smoothly even in ac it dont feel sluggish what I feel in alto 800. Engine is almost well tuned for city driving till now what I feel highway I still not checked out.


Seats: are good as normal like in alto 800 with 2 -4 step moving front and rear adjustment offcourse manually std bucket seat nor too. Much to say.


Ac: car comes with std ac and heater with normal swivel vents that have 360 degree turn option nowdays common ac is pretty good I think it takes almost 10 minutes to chillout car. Heater is no doubt good.blower is good and better than alto 800 but after 2 number setting its noise increases too much that u need to volume up music system to hear ur music.


Suspension. Is good and said soft and on large potholes u feel jerk on any speed and whole car shakes up. Remind u this is. Not offroader or suv so avoid bad roads or drive slowly on bad roads else some screws loose out.


Some basic features and funcion inner boot/dicky/fuel lid opener provided that are cable driven system. Inner manual control ovrm provided. Pillars are plastic covered and carpet are plane woven one. Simple wheel cap provided tyre I think ceat ones offcourse tubeless. Tripmeter, rev meter provided no fuel consumption meter and nothing special. So simple car.


Mileage: well initial as I already said as it is in engine breakin period I drive softly in city without ac before service I noticed 20KMPl and 16-17 KMPl but after service 17-18 kmpl without ac and in ac apx 15kmpl in all jaipur city traffic mostly in open area not in jaipur walled city like heavy traffic 20kmpl is not bad I think after service it may goes to 22kmpl but why figure dropped I dont know even maruti person also said 20kmpl is std maruti procedure figure not on road real figure in city but its good if u r getting it mostly no one getting it." Maruti wale hi bhai apne mileage ko accept nahi karte ki company jitna bolti hai utna unki gadi deti bhi hai but deti to hai per hamesh service ke baad kyun kam dene lagti hai I dont understand it ". On highway 25kmpl may be found. Earlier alto 800 gives me 24 kmpl on highway that on constant cruis speed of 65-70 below and up that speed mileage worsen. And that also after service start giving low mileage almost 20% less what I get before service and on every time on my alto 800 service I told such weird thing to service manager and he laugh and said sir its ur mind just confusion and nothing else and if u wanna check it we may done mileage test at service centre that should cost u rs 500 test charge and 30 litre petrol idiotic thing.


Well maruti cars r good but service going pathetic as dealer have so many cars to service at a time that they r not doing service properly they just washing and dash polish and some greese and gulping 1300 to 2000 rs just for that thing. As service charges. What I really feel all dealers just making money fooling customes even my alto 800 paid service with 50% service labor charge cost me apx 5600 after free service.


Car is 2100km drivn by me and I will update my review in futures
