My ward currently qualified for the interschool competition held in Bangalore. We were called in St. Francis school koramangla and to my surprise they selected close to 500 students. They took 700 Rs per ward and this is only nursery. so in the first two hours they already pocketed in 3.5 lakhs. Consider the fact that there were so many parents who actually took the orientation program costed at 2700 Rs for the false pride they are givnig their kids as well as themselves.
Now at around 12 PM they pasted the LKG category for which they selected 700 students and the charges were 1000 Rs. Any normal man can extrapolate the money these guys are earning and funny thing that they provide nothing after taking these fees. In my life for any competition there was only one time entry fees. After that its always the skill set.
These MARRS spell bee people take entry fees at every level for providing nothing. They neither provide stationaries.nor the food or snacks. Also imagine that there are 4 levels nursery, lkg, ukg and grade 1. If for an average they select 500 students from each category and charge 700 Rs which is lowest for nursery they are minimum taking away 14lakhs only from inter school competitioin only in Bangalore. I am sure its run in other major metros. Its a big time scam of making money in the name of false pride to our kids.
Funny thing is the school also charged 20Rs for parking. God save the world! I am sure my ward is going to be selected for inter state competition too because I know they select every body no matter what the kids do inside. I confirmed from the class teacher of my ward who told 10 people appeared for school level test and they all got selected for the next level.
