Manjolai Estate. Review on Manjolai

Manjolai - a nature enriched place in Tirunelveli district of TamilNadu. Most of the ppl in tirunelveli itself have hardly heard about that place. the place has more than 7 tea estates.

Its located at a distance of 57 kms from tirunelveli city. The place is noted for its natural calm attractive beauty.

The matter is I didnt yet visit the place. my friend who s staying with me went there some 2 yrs before and he showed me the photos and described about that last night. when he explained itself, its very awesome. I imagined like going to the place. he said there is a very limited transportation to that place.

There is a bus going to place called "Kuthirai Vetti" which is about 10 or 15 kms from Manimutharu Dam. Newspapers, grocery products and other essential things are transported to that village by that bus route only. after crossing manimuthar, the travel becomes terrific to such an extent that the route is elevating steep.

My friend said, to a certain extent only buses will go and after that we have to go by walk. to go to the top of the Kuthirai vetti spot, we have to get permission from the forestry. and as my friend went there, they were caught by the forest authorities and guards there and warned severely and then allowed to go there with a forest security gaurd.

he said that, after reaching the top of the hill, from there we can see three dams from that place, Karayar Dam (usually called as Papanasam Dam), Manimuthar dam, and Servalaru Dam. From that place, we can see elephants and wild animals drinking water from the river. He said, that sight was so beautiful that he cannot describe it in words.

Worst thing is there will be no good food available there... Only thing is we've to prepare from our house and take it along with..I planned now itself, to visit the place by mid of march.
