Mandu is located in dhar district in malwa region of Madhya Pradesh. I visited mandu 3 years back to attend my friend's marriage with my another friends.
The place is easily accessible. mandu is 35 km away from dhar district. Mandu is well connected to rail and bus network. It's road were well maintained.
We reached mandu without any problem. We stayed there for three days. Mandu has many palaces, mosques and jain temples.
It is a great example of afghan architecture like tombs, monuments and mosque. It's historical connection place attracts the tourists. We visited there many monuments like Hindola mahal, Housang shah's tomb it was a great marble tomb. R
ani roopmati's pavilion is a greatest building of mandu and it is a romantic place. Jami masjid has a great afghan architecture. It's Jain temples has a great art work and it's architecture was awesome. We visited there Baz Bahadur palace, dai ka mahal, neel kanth palace and many other places. Baz bahadur palace and Rani Roopmati palace both are close and has a brilliant architecture, Roopmati stayed in this palace, so she could watch her lover's palace. It shows the beautiful love story of love couple Baz bahadur and Rani roopmati. We also visited there Darwazas of mandu, it has 12 gateways but we visited delhi darwaza, jehangir darwaza, tarapur gate and rampol gate. Mandu has many hotels and resorts there for easy accommodation . Rani Roopmati hotel is a good place to stay. Overall mandu is a treasure of many architectural monuments, thus the place is must visit. Whenever you make trip to mandu then don't miss the above mentioned places.
