Good service, friendly staff. Review on Mandovi Motors - Bangalore

This is based purely on personal and not very frequent interactions with Mandovi Motors inJP Nagar, Bangalore.

In a city not really known for its service-orientation, we have had surpringly pleasant interactions with Mandovi for the service and support of our Maruti vehicle. I have had 3 breakdowns in the past 3 years, where the battery died and needed jump-start. In all cases, the Maruti-On Road-Service arrived within 30 minutes from the complaint. In one case, it was at 7PM peak traffic time, in another case on a Sunday. The technician(Suresh) who arrived was polite, knowledgeable and helpful. There were no demands for tip and everything was done in a professional manner. Cost me Rs.150 each time.

Similarly, for regular servicing and insurance renewals, they send their person so you don't have to go there. Free pick and drop of vehicle saves a lot of bother. Car is always returned before 5PM and servicing is OK. For superior servicing, I am sure one needs to find a trusted neighborhood mechanic; these dealer shops can just do routine work. As long as they don't screw up more than they fix, I am happy.

Charges are reasonable, usually under Rs.2000. They are always sure to call back after 2 days to check whether I am satisfied, feedback on service and any complaints. That itself is impressive, even if gimmick. Our guess is that they have some monetary incentive for the engineers to be polite, efficient and timely. It is a great initiative if true and could herald a pleasant change in the way'service industry' works in Bangalore.

I have an old M-800 so I assume their good service is not restricted to VIP, expensive car owners. I recommend this shop for Maruti related jobs(contarary to our bad experience with RNS motors).
