b)Tips on using a new vehicle=> The engine has many moving parts which need to be set in before the engine is stretched to its peak performance. The long term performance of an engine depends on the care and restraint exercised during its early life. The first 2000 km of a run of vehicle is known as the'running-in' period.During this period, follow the below guidelines strictly: 1. Do not cross the 40 kmph limit(up to 500 km), 50 Kmph(up to 2000 km). 2. Do not race the engine too much. 3. Do not run the engine at constant speed for a long time. Vary the speed from time to time. 4. Do not start moving or racing the engine immediately after starting. Keep the engine idling for a few minutes to let the oil flow to all the engine parts. 5. Follow the specific instructions given in owner's manual provided by the manufacturer.

c)Ideal Maintenance Schedule=> Every machine has moving parts that are subjected to wear and tear. A two-wheeler is further subjected to road abuse, fuel adulteration and individual driver habits. Hence'Preventive Maintenance' of a two-wheeler is of paramount importance. If regular maintenance is not carried out, the vehicle may break-down on the run. To avoid this, please stick to the maintenance schedule as given in the Maintenance Charts. First service: Between 500 & 750 km or after 30 days Second service: Between 2, 500 & 3, 000 km or after 3 months Third service: Between 4, 500 & 5, 000 km or after 6 months Thereafter, get your vehicle serviced every 3, 000 to 4, 000 km, or once in 3 to 4 months, whichever is earlier.

Carburettor cleaning and setting. 5. Fuel filter cleaning. 6. Engine, silencer decarborisation. 7. Valve clearance adjustment(only for 4-Stroke) 8. Check battery electrolyte level. 9. Tightening and adjustment of all major bolts/nuts, control cables. 10. Oiling all the parts.

-

e)Maintenance of catalytic convertor=> 1. Use only unleaded petrol. 2. Use correct percentage of 2T oil. 3. Do not tamper with the catalytic convertor(if fitted inside the silencer). 4. Do not switch off engine while the vehicle is in motion. 5. Do not jump start the vehicle.
