Vacationland . Review on Maine

Like the ''Vacationland'' slogan on the car number plates in Maine vehicles suggests it is a nice vacation land in north east US or New England area like it is called in the US. Maine is famous for its fall colors and lobsters. Almost restaurant is Maine will serve lobsters. If you're a seafood lover you must have the lobsters here. The best time to visit Maine I would say is fall season which is around Sept end or Oct 1st week. This is the time which signals the end of summer and the beginning of winter. The leaves on the trees here start changing color from green to red to yellow to brown to purple before the leaves fall off. This lasts just for about 2-3 weeks. Imagine you're driving around the highways and on both sides the trees are colorful. You have to see it to believe it. This is a small state so you can pretty much drive around the entire state in a day. If you're the adventure type Maine is also famous for its white water rafting. I have done it myself and they have nice rivers for rafting and kayaking.

Best time to visit Maine is fall or summer. It is also accessible from Boston (3-4 hours drive) which is international hub. Winter is cold and snowy but if you like skiing its a nice skiing destination too. Of course don't forget to eat the lobster here in Maine.
