The movie starts with a scene that is possible only in ''reel'' life. Then there is a dramatic shift in the storyline, from terrorists to college fun. Then it's enter terrorists again and their end by the hero. The way the film is directed it seems that the director is vacillating between passing a message and creating a light-hearted entertainment.
These two angles have not been handled with finesse. Neither does the film provide full-time entertainment nor does it carry a message that has an impact. All has got mixed up. Some of the scenes are funny though, courtesy Shah Rukh. Sunil Shetty looks amateur as a terrorist head. It's a masala film that would have looked good without the terrorist angle. Songs, choreography? Well, Farah Khan at her best.
In all, a movie worth watching at home on video with a finger on the fast-forward button. Songs and choreography worth watching on the big screen.
