I had written the review below on ''Pathetic Consumer Response''- late evening on Sept 02, 2004. Early morning Sept 03, 2004 - I have been communicated with directly by the brand manager of Mahindra Scorpio- who has shown ''true-blue'' professionalism in both replying to me & his promptness in explaining the reason for not reverting in time (technical issue!).
I am GLAD that the faith I have in the car, extends to other areas of the Scorpio team. Kudos Sujan... you have single-handedly ''kept the faith'' for the brand!!

This is NOT a review of the Mahindra Scorpio vehicle - I haven't owned it yet ..!!
IT IS ABOUT THE SCORPIO WEBSITE...and the CUSTOMER RESPONSE online.
For a company that is trying to sell a fancy-jeep (and I must say here that I like it's design & image!) - and had filled the airwaves with PR on their customer focussed product for India... they dont know how to treat an online ''prospective'' customer ..... god only help us once we have bought the product!!
While the website is full of fancy over-glossed images - it fails to perform its most fundamental task - serve as interface between the company and the customer.
I had certain queries about the vehicle - and sent a mail over 2 week ago!
AND I STILL HAVENT GOT SOMETHING AS BASIC AS AN AUTOMATED ACKNOWLEDGEMENT!!
THIS IT SEEMS IS THE ''TRUE CUSTOMER FOCUS''.... no PR gloss
Hey ... M&M ...why set up a website ...if you still havent mastered what its for! Maybe while you were developing the vehicle, and the ads...along the way you forgot the consumer!

For all the ardent Scorpio fans - this post might seem like an excess ... however, a company's rating is not confined to its product... and for one that is getting such high product ratings it should be of utmost shame that they are unable to get something as basic a online customer response correct...which turns off an ardent fan into a spiteful reviewer!
