Engine÷
Mahindra kuv has a 1200cc falcon diesel engine producing 77bhp of power at 3750 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 2250 rpm.You have got petrol option for it but the diesel has a better throttle response and produces a little more power when driving.You get a power and eco mode button on the dashboard to control the fuel economy of the vehicle
Mileage÷
Kuv has got mileage of 25 kmpl as company claims but it gives around 19-20 kmpl .The petrol variant has an average of 14-15 kmpl.
Looks÷
Mahindra is known for its SUV making, but the Kuv is designed in such a way that it looks like a hatchback from rear and a SUV from the front.It is launched in a hatchback section but mahindra calls it a young SUV.It has got agressive 3D headlamps and the claddings and cuts made in its sides makes it look even more sportier.
Comfort÷
The car is a little larger in terms of hatchback which makes the seat area more spacious .The flat seats with impressive underthigh support and good amount of legroom makes the rear seats comfortable for passengers.You have an option for three in front but that might be an issue for the middle passenger's legroom as gear lever is placed their.You get an armrest in the midle for both rear and front passengers.
Space÷
The Kuv has got 243ltrs of boot space.Not only that but cleverly placed box under rear seats and under the floor with two small glove boxes on the front and one near the vanity mirror.
Safety÷
Mahindra gives option of dual airbags as an option in all variant. The ABS and EBD comes as a standard features in all its variant.This is an impressive job from mahindra.Even a.c. comes as an standard features.
My dislike÷
The use of plastic whether it be inside or on external of the car is more to lower the weight of the car.The plastic makes it looks a little cheap and the feel is not so great.
You do not get to see its eco mode button on thr petrol variants.
After sales service÷
Mahindra has been trusty since long time and they would surely not dissapoint with their first SUV like hatchback.From many years mahindra company ha been doing what the have claimed and would further be doing it better.
My recommendation÷
You must show trust on this hatchback , because not only it is power packed in features but also priced aggresively.
With sporty look , it has standard safety features, impressive space for passengers and a decent mileage.This hatchback will attract the young one's with its great look and stunts.If you have a budget of 5-6 lakh than Kuv can be a better option in the segment keeping in mind the space, look and engine performance.
