Mahableshwar. Review on Mahabaleshwar

It is my great pleasure to write something on Mahabaleshwar. we- my family are visiting Mahabaleshwar for quite long - at least twice a year and we are equally excited at every visit. Guess, there is some magic around it and we never get bored there. Too enthusiastic, isn't it?

Well, I guess it is true with plenty of people who visit this place most often and enjoy ! It is situated at Highest points -- obviously hill station. There are lots of 'Points' to see around the Geography. I would suggest not to cover all the points in one visit. One would visit 2/3 points or places in one go. This way you would be able to enjoy any point. It is not like you go and have a look around , go back to your car and take a drive to next place---have lunch etc etc.

The Mahabeshwar atmosphere needs to be soaked into body and mind. The last visit we did go to The Sydney Point..This is very much on the higher side and prefer not to much look deep down in the valleys. However the wind and fresh breath of air at such a height is very much enjoyable. we did enjoy one evening on the top and feel fresh..

Few things you should do every time you visit though--like eating strawberry and shopping. Shopping is fun for first-timers..however now I feel all hill stations has same type items around. Only thing noticeable is price range. At the tourist place it goes higher and higher.

So I would not recommend shopping unless you are busying something specific to the place which you might not get probably in your own city. Yes, eating fresh strawberries' is a pleasure--eating them with fresh cream in shops is heaven . A Must try.

Food is another costly affair , however that is true is at all Tourist place--so don't bother. At mahabaleshwar market and all the hotels are well equipped with all kinds of Tourists- Gujrathi - get special attention , equally foreigners ! Go-karting is another fun --popular with Youngsters.

The hotels are very crowded and staying in one of good hotels is itself is very costly. However it is great if you could find good one at reasonable rates. I would prefer one with sit outs and quiet places. Few might love close to market ! Believe me, the room price goes higher upto four times more during peak seasons..so choose the visit dates wisely and as per budget.
