I have been using your ‘Louis Philippe’ products - Shirts & Trousers since some years now for its excellent quality and superb finishing.
But off late, I was very much disappointed with the last two Trousers, (‘Louis Philippe’) that I bought. I bought a Black Trouser (June) and a couple of months later (September) a Grey color Trouser.
After 2-3 washes I noticed some patches of lighter shades than the original colour in the bottom part of the black trouser. I neglected it thinking to be some dust or something. But last week when I was ironing the new Grey Trouser, I noticed the same type of patches on this trousers as well.
I know for sure that my wife takes extra care and washes these trousers by herself in cold water and soap. She doesn’t put it in washing machine nor gives it to the maid. When I showed it to her, she washed it again but these patches were still there.
The next day, I took my black trouser to the Dry cleaners to Dry wash it and when I showed it to them, I was told that it cannot be cleaned as the colour has faded. I showed them the make and they said that, we know it, but it could be the poor quality of the clothing. I was furious and just avoided an argument with them and just couldn’t believe what he said.
I was very much depressed because even after paying so much (Rs1399/-) to get a good quality product and that too from ‘A Company with more than a 100 years history in India’ and one of ‘World’s largest manufacturer of Sewing thread’ I am not getting a good quality clothing in India. Actually I bought both these Trousers from a well known shop ‘at Trichur.
I also sent a mail to the available email contacts in ‘Madura Coat’ website, but no answer. I was sure the Show owner wouldn’t replace it as I didn’t have the original bills. But I would say the Company ‘Madura Coats’ should take responsibility for their product and ensure that Consumer is compensated for this. And of course, these Shirts & Trousers (Louis Philipe) don’t come cheap.
What I would recommend the readers of mouth shut is, if you are intending to spend some good amount on Men’s wear (shirts or trousers) please don’t spend it on ‘Louis Philipe’ and end up disappointed like me. There are so many other good brands in the market apart from ‘Louis Philipe’ , that would make you look good and even better. Take my word for it...
