Mumbais local trains are the best in the world !!!. Review on Local Trains

Public transport has got overwhelming importance and reactions.Is there anything about the government / municipality that we are satisfied with. Without wasting much time,i will come to the topic of trains in mumbai.

It is one of the best in the world,honestly no kidding.I used to travel by train to my college and work place everymorning during the peak hours.I really enjoyed it and I miss it very badly.Mumbai local trains gives u one of the best frequencies that I have ever seen.Currently I reaide in melbourne, where I use train as a mode of commuting.It is absolutely pathetic.There are trains only every 15 minutes and the inside of the train though ofcourse not as bad as the ones in mumbai,but the people in mumbai are the best.You can start chatting with anyone in the train in mumbai and have a very rejoiceful journey.In other places u are considered to be a nurd if u start speaking to strangers.The best part of mumbai trains are the bhajans that are held every tuesday in 7:47 cst - central line and they distribute prasad and wa a way to start the day off - awesome.Ofcourse I accept that the train department can improve on a lot of areas but I havent taken it seriously because I dont find it necessary for them to do as we a common man dont have the habit og possessing the things given by our government.It includes me also.

If u ask me to say what is an ideal train department then my priorities would be:-

1]good frequency

2]friendly ambiyence - which actually doesnt depend on the railway dept but we as commutters want to enjoy our travel time.

3]cost effective

4]cleanliness - depnds more on us than railway dept.

5]scheduled arrival and departure

6]no derailments

7]contigency plans during special days and rainy days.

out of the special points I have listed,the only point where apunka mumbai railway can improve is cleanliness,which ofcourse we as a commuter becomes our responsibility also.So 6.5/7 it is doing extremely well.

It is a good sign.Th revenues of the railway dept are ploughed back for betterment.DO we have any fiugres in regards to ticketless travellers..wa about that???

I really dont think that there is any misutilisation of funds,exceptions are always there but we shouldnt generalise it.Some pay bribes to the ticket collectors instead of fines,all these are improvements from ourside.

So if we strike a deal with railways that we as commuters will be responsible with our acts and they do the same ,then the world i.e. mumbai wud be perfect.

There is a saying in mumbai ''arrey, Mumbai ke bahar sab gaaon hain''.It sounds very true to me in melbourne also.

Enjoy ur journey buddy,make friends then even cleanliness wudnt be a problem.
