LmL,one of India's leading scooter manufacturers, who stepped into the motorcycle market, some 5 to 6 years ago with their twin base models,Energy and Adreno, later upgraded with FXs,have their latest offering in the form LmL Freedom.
Quite a brilliant name. Is'nt it?Displacing 109 cubic centimeters, this bike generates 8.5 bhp@7750 rpm at an adequte torque of 8.6 Nm@5000 rpm which straightaway puts it into the category of Splendor,Passion,Victor & Calliber.
The bike is,for sure launched to boost up LmL's sales due to the day by day decrease in demand of it's FXs. And they have succeeded too in accomplishing their aim.Any 'Freedom' owner knows how much enjoyable it is!(pun intended).
Guys this bike is packed with numerous systems. There is a handle on the steel grab rail on the left side of the bike to ease it onto the main stand. The side stand has been designed and fitted in such a way that after starting the bike,if not retracted, the gears will get locked and thus unless u withdraw the stand, the bike will not move.In addition to the speedometer and odometer there is a fuel guage and tell tale lights too. The bike also has a high beam flasher,an engine kill switch and indicator-cancel switch. There are many a lot things more which I am not writing coz there's a lot to be discussed other than that. Designing has been done with some Italian help which has resulted in a slim body, bikini type headlight fairing, stylish tail, uppish handlebars, and what not. Till here, quite good.
But the bike does'nt remains the same in terms of performance as it takes about 11-12 seconds to reach the 60km/hr mark. The bike also has an average pick-up.Maximum speed in this case is about 82km/hr only which is quite low in comparison to other bikes of this segment.
So if u want speed and pickup,do not visit the TVS showrooms. This is a non-performance bike guys, one which looks good(jhakas!),feels good too(jhakas here too!),brakes average(boring),starts by laat only(kick) and gives an excellent mileage of 60 to 70 km/l in normal conditions. But due to its low pricing, which is Rs.40,000,this bike is prooving to be one heck of a competitor as other bikes of the same segment are priced at a few more thousands.
This bike...enuff said,After all this gaga u should'nt be sitting here fooling around.Instead go run for ur 'freedom' and enjoy.
