HOME INTERIOR DESIGNS ECOMMERCE PRIVATE LIMITED Cares

HOME INTERIOR DESIGNS ECOMMERCE PRIVATE LIMITED is working closely with MouthShut.com to enhance customer satisfaction.

My experience with Livspace is completely otherwise. Initially they sound very professional and great going but problem starts while execution. I had chosen them because 1. I need not to engage separate teams like Carpenter, Civil labor and supervisor, electrician etc. 2. Lack of supervision time as my office is 2 hours from my place.   In my Kitchen I needed to get some civil work done along with wooden part. Even after paying more than double the cost for civil work(cost while compared with traditional workers) I didn't find any great quality in work to boast about. What was more irritating, when I told them about their under quality work, they keep giving foolish suggestion like it can hide by this that etc. My wife had to regularly monitor their work.

Just one example to share their substandard service and quality of work. As they did civil work also, one of the work was laying of Kitchen slab. While discussing some time earlier with their so called civil expert, I was suggested that they will seal the back side of kitchen slab with Silicon so that water should not drain down from the back(wall side) side of the slab. At the time of laying slab they didn't use silicon and just used White cement. When I asked the designer, she assured me that white cement is equally good and I won't face any such water leakage challenge. Though I knew that silicon is rubbery in nature and stretchable material(as it is used by my Builder for sealing windows) and cement can crack but still I give weightage to designer's suggestion. After a month I find some water below the cabinet which was coming from the sink back side. Then I could feel the cracks in placed cement. I requested the designer to arrange some guys who can now seal it with Silicon. I was assured that the work will be done within a week. No one turned up in that week. I again reminded the designer second week but same no one turned up. Third week again I called the designer, for which she apologized and assured me that the current week definitely someone will come and close the matter.

Third week again no one turned up, then I had to escalate the issue to the senior. Now senior suggested me that work will be done utmost in 2 days. This is how again they dragged me for another 4-5 days. When I reached back home on Friday evening of 4th week(I generally come back around 10 PM as my office is approx. 2 hours from my place and I work in consulting so need to stretch a bit beyond working hours) and my wife told me that still nobody came, I was really frustrated. There was a WhatsApp group I had created initially to keep in loop all various stake holder of this project like Supervisor, Designers, wardrobe Expert etc. so that everyone should have correct information flow. Now I put a message on this group(at around 11 PM). I know that it was rude to connect someone so late hence I put a message so that once can see it and revert as per his/her convenience. Nowhere asked them for any immediate reply, just asked for one confirmed date rather dragging for every next day. Generally Livspace team don't even bother for prompt responses(however would appreciate their prompt action rather than commitments). That Night I immediately got a very polite but sarcastic reply from the designer & then a mail chain within the livspace team appreciating each other for prompt responses. Here I was still struggling and scrutinizing my message if I really asked for immediate response that made them upset or if by mistake I had attached any loud alarm that disturbed them. Anyways though I made them bit unhappy but finally next day someone turned to my house to fix the problem. They fixed it and suggest within next 2 hours we can use water in the kitchen. After 2 hours I realized that silicon still needs time to get dry. I suggest my wife to ask maid to use Bathroom for washing utensils and other water related work. We managed 2 days without water in kitchen as silicon was still not properly dry. Checked on net as my knowledge regarding silicon was very limited. It was mentioned that silicon does take between 12 to 24 hours to get dry and in my case it’s almost 40 hours gone. So I thought maybe I am over conscious and should start using kitchen. I realized when maid cleaned the corners there were some white spots on the cloth she used for cleaning the slab. I find out that silicon is coming out. I re-check on net and find that it generally happens if the silicon is expired. Unfortunately I did not check the product expiry date that Livspace guys had come with to fix the problem. I don’t know whether they got expired silicon or something that resembles like silicon. After putting so much of efforts with Livspace guys I had no interest in calling them back. Neither Livspace guys even bother to check if my issue is successfully resolved.

Then I called the local guy from my colony who works for the builder & use silicon for fixing slabs and window frames. He got his own silicon & took some 250/- bucks. After fixing silicon he suggested to use water after 12 hours. Though on a safer side again I used water after 24 hours till the time silicon was not properly fixed. I don’t know much about these things because this is first time I am involved in such task(like civil work or wood work). Don't know what sort of problem comes with local traditional guys. But one thing is for sure, I engaged Livspace considering I will be dealing with professionals who value time, commitment and deadlines unlike traditional laborers and seriously I am still struggling to get few answers:-

  1. Do they really provide Quality work

  2. Are they really experts or if not expert then best in the market

  3. Up to their commitment

  4. Great after sales service

This is just one recent incidence I have explained. I have many more such bad experiences. Without taking much time, one of bad experience is when they completely change the size and design of my 2 cupboards. However they accepted their mistake but agreed to redo only 1 of the faulty cupboards. Now the biggest surprise was that the Designer who was talking about standard sizes and not at all flexible for customization initially, suddenly got flexible so that they can accommodate their another faulty cupboard too.

I believe Wood work, kitchen & interior designing is one such effort that requires not only hard earned money but also it is one’s sweetest wish that generally dreamed once in life.

Best of luck to all who wish to avail Livspace services & hope they should not have any bad experience like me.
