I dint even know that this movie exists. I was just checking the list of bollywood movies in wiki & found this movie name. Thought of watching this movie.
This movie is a social thriller about 5 friends, Rajiv (Dino Moreo), Jai (Sameer Dattani), Manish (Aftab Shivdasani), Monica (Nauheed Cyrusi) & Ishita (Anjori Alagh), who have different definitions of Happiness. On the last day of their college, they place a bet of Rs. 200. Bet says, after 5 years who ever is the most happiest person among those 4, will take that Rs. 200. Why 4 & not 5? Because Manish is not the part of this bet. He wants plain happiness.
Rajiv, younger brother of business tycoon Sanjeev Arora (Monish Behl), thinks that happiness means success. The more successfull person he is, he'll be more happier. After 5 years, he's among the leading industrialists of India.But at the cost of destroying his own brother. At one point of time, he was in deep trouble financially, when 2 persons helped him financially on a condition that he has to destroy his own brother.
Jai Gokhale, son of a respectable co-operative bank Chairman, thinks that happiness is power. Against his mother's will, he joins politics & climbes up rapidly. He becomes the youngest politician of India. But at the cost of a life of a politician.
Ishita Sharma, a contributar of gossip magazine 'Scandal', thinks that happiness is Money. The More money, the more happy she is. She traps a tycoon with her beauty & strategy & got hell lot of money. But what she dint got is the loyalty of her own husband
Monica Gupta thinks happiness is fame. She becomes the leading actress of India, but at the cost of her virginity.
Manish Gupta, a struggling writer,believes in plain happiness, which will come along with life. He happily gets married & has a daughter.
After 5 years when they re-unite, no one is happy as they had seen a lot in their life. They got to know the real meaning of life.
Manish, convert all these things into a book, 'Life me Kabhie Kabhiee' which turns to a best seller. At the end, they are united again.
Performance by actors were average. No one gave the best, may be because of the demand of the plot. Music is ok. I like the song "Khushi ki Chah mein". Dialogues & Cinmeatography is very normal.
Storyline is good. Good for one time watching. If you haven't seen this movie, see it once.
