The return was great for Jeevan Suraksha.
The new version (New Jeevan Suraksha I) does not
have guaranteed additions. But still returns are
very good specially when you consider the tax
break (80ccc).
With the ''Jeevan Suraksha'' for a 25 years
old person, sum assured is 3.5 lakhs with a
premium of 9604/- pa.
The SA increases @7.5% simple interest annualy
for the term (say 30 years). Loyalty additions
should be payable at the end of term. There is
no guarantee on this part.
At the end of term, the notional cash can becomes
3.5L @7.5% = 7.875 L + LA
25% of this can be taken at that time tax free.
The rest can be converted to an annuity that will
pay an amount to you every month.
