I bought this product 6 months ago from a retail outlet. Before buying this product I did a market research and went to almost 10 shops to confirm prices of various brands and the features they offer. The reason I went for this product is because of its stainless steel turbo drum, also the seller was offering this product to me on zero EMI. I paid Rs. 18000 for this product excluding the delivery charge. The seller told me I will have to pay Rs. 1500 for next 12 months as an EMI on my HDFC bank credit card which actually was misleading.
The product actually not worth the price.A week after its purchase It started troubling a lot. The main issue is the water flow in the machine is very slow which takes a long time to fill the drum and also the cleaning process is not smooth. They have given a detergent slot to add detergent which is of a new use. If you put detergent in the slot only a small amount gets dissolve with the water and the rest sticks to the surface which is good for nothing. It has a number of features like Fuzzy mode, jeans mode, woolen, child lock, quick wash etc. Only the child lock function is of some use and rests other features are useless. Never wash woolen clothes in this machine otherwise the clothes will get damaged and you will find lint everywhere in the machine. The machine is very fragile and needs lots of care while using on daily basis.
The overall design of the product is ok but the working performance is not. It is not at all user-friendly. I mainly use the fuzzy mode and after the washing is done always found stains on the clothes. Even the clothes look old after each wash. The customer service is ok. I called them in the initial days to learn how to us the machine and how each function works. They provided me full support but unfortunately when the machine is not efficient enough they can't do much.
The main complaint I have is the seller who misleads me that it is coming to me on a 0% EMI and I have to pay only Rs. 1500 for next 12 months and not a single penny more. I was shocked when I got my bank statement and was charged principal amount along with Interest and service tax. I contacted the retailer and the Pinelabs who enabled the transaction.
The retailer told me I will get the refund of the Interest after 90 days and Pinelabs adviced me to contact the bank. I waited for 90 days and now the retailer is telling me I will get the refund after 90 days of paying all the EMIs. This whole thing had left me mentally harassed and through Mouthshut I want to raise a complaint so the management of LG and Pinelabs can look into the matter and can provide me justice.
So, a big no for a LG washing machine in future as they are not honest in their dealings. I have attached a copy of the bill and it should be consider by their officials.
