Review for LG Washing Machine Model FHTI265ZNW 6.5 kg


I want to share my very frustrating experience with the LG washing machine(Model FHTI265ZNW 6.5 kg) that I bought on 9th February 2022. After just one year, I started having problems with the touchpad. It was not working properly when I tried to program it.


Instead of addressing the touchpad issue, the LG service team first said the problem was with the board. They charged me ₹4, 200 to replace it, but that didn’t fix the problem. Next, they told me I needed to change the hub for ₹6, 200. They took over a month to replace the hub, but the machine still didn’t work.


In total, I spent ₹10, 400 on unnecessary replacements over three months. Finally, after several visits, they figured out the real issue was the touchpad, which only cost ₹630 to replace. I had explained from the start that the touchpad was the problem, yet they kept replacing major parts without addressing it. It seems like anyone with common sense could have understood this right away.


During this time, it was rainy season, and I had guests and kids at home, which made washing and drying clothes very difficult. Instead of enjoying our time together, I had to deal with ongoing service issues.


If I had chosen a local brand or even a basic washing machine, I believe I would have received better service and avoided this hassle.


I have reached out to LG service authorities, including the service director, but I have not received any explanation about why they replaced parts unnecessarily. If any authorized LG personnel see this review, please provide clarification on these charges and check my previous communications with your service team.


This isn’t just my experience; many others have similar complaints about LG’s poor service. I urge potential customers to be careful when dealing with LG. No one should have to go through what I did, and I want others to be aware of the service issues.
