Friends I'm back with my new review on my latest mobile bought it on Feb 16. its Lg Optimus Black P970. after a long research on different mobiles I just selected this as my best option. its been 6 days im using this mobile I swear its a amazing product, it reached beyond my expectations. since one month I was planning to buy a new mobile, there were so many options in my mind at last this master piece had won the race, will describe u how?
Why I chosen this?
i was keen to buy a smartphone with maximum features under my budget(15-18 k). my requirements were Big screen, Latest android, Music & Video at Max.Entertainment. at this range there were so many competitors. it was a big task to choose, all my requirements were filled by Optimus black at its best.
Specality in Optimus Black!
the special features that attracted me were, this is the world's first mobile to have a 2mp camera(front facing), and the other is LG’s NOVA 700 Nit IPS LCD display. perfect clarity display with great brightness. and other great option is Wi-Fi Direct this is a new technology option we can share larger files with other Wi-Fi Direct device within no time.(i shared a 200 mb file in 55 seconds)
1 Week Performance Experience!
Under this I need to explain a lot of things, this gadget is King at performance in all aspects.
Processor!
it has 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor along with Power VR SGX530 GPU. which can handle multiple tasks at one time and supports HD Gaming. I have tested running 7-8 applications at a time, but still the processor was amazing.(Rating 9/10)
Camera!
it has a rear camera 5 Mega Pixel with LED Flash of(2592x1944) resolution and had a great quality of pictures from it. and as I said it has 2 Mega Pixel Front camera with(1600x1200) resolution. and HD(1280x720) Video recording, videos recorded were at its best. and camera has additional features like Red Eye Reduction, Built in flash, Auto Focus, White Balance, Self Timer, & Image Editing (Rating 8.5/10)
Sound & Muzic!
This was a major factor for me to consider as im a great music listener, I first doubted that can LG produce a great music for me, but after listening I was just shocked even Samsung Galaxy S2 don't have such music bcoz this piece has got 21 different types of Equalizer Bands in it. we can change according to our taste, addition to this for music and as well videos there is a Dolby sound option which is great and it enhances a richer experience. Videos are quite brilliant even direct avi(divx) files works in this and delivers great quality. enables all major video & audio formats. (Rating 9/10)
Browsing & Internet!
as this is a 3G device browsing experience was very smooth. I activated 3g in my airtel and downloaded some android apps, the device also has a class10 in edge & gprs which enables upto 237 kbps. still not yet connected to Wi-Fi, but tried Wi-Fi direct. (Rating 8/10)
Memory!
Device has a inbuilt 2 GB memory in which we can use 1 GB to install Applications and remaining for other stuff. & as like other smart phones this is 32 GB Expandable, im using 16 gb with no issues in it. so I have enough space to install more and more apps. (Rating 9/10)
Touch UI Gesture!
well in fact when I bought this the android was Froyo, at that time the touch & sensitivity was ok but as soon as I upgraded to Gingerbread 2.3.4 this function has changed entirely and now the touch is fantastic. (Rating 9/10)
Extra Features!
Bluetooth 2.1v, DLNA Connectivity, Geo-tagging, Gyro, GPS, Document viewer.
Cons -ve!
The earphones bundled with mobile were not great but good but I use ibeats for mine.
As like other smart phones Battery is also a problem here, but it can manage one day with heavy usage.
Froyo doesn't give u great experience when u buy this, update to latest ASAP.
That's it friends, so overall my (Rating 9/10) for this master piece. pls don't underestimate LG, I dont know about other models in LG but optimus all models are great. well coming to competitors to Optimus Black are 1.Samsung Galaxy R(now stopped) 2.Sony Ericsson Neo 3.Samsung Galaxy S+ 4.Motorola Defy+ but based on my requirements except Samsung Galaxy R all others failed to reach LG Optimus Black.
