I purchased this phone in 2013 probably in September. Its been 3 years I am using this phone and I am pretty much happy with the phone.
I was looking for a phone and did not want to take any customized Phone. I wanted to stick to the basics by purchasing either a Windows Phone or Android in its pure form or iOS. iPhone was out of my budget. So that option was ruled out. I was using Nokia phones from many years. Hence, I thought to purchase Android Phone in its pure form. Hence opted for Nexus 4.
When I purchased this phone, it was priced at Rs. 27, 000. Initially, I thought its on a higher side. But today, when I see my phone working in good condition I dont regret purchasing this phone. Well, I dont want to go for technical specification. You can get all those information from https://gsmarena.com/lg_nexus_4_e960-5048.php.
After 3 years of using this phone, I am glad to say that my phone has never visited the service centre. Phone is having the Gorilla glass which prevented my phone from many falls. Camera is also pretty decent. Being 2 GB RAM and used for few games, phone was not very slow. Now a days from past 1 month, it becomes slow only when there is an update going for the applications. Once the updates from Play Store is over, Phone is back to normal size.
One thing which is an issue with this Phone is it gets heated while charging or using for some time. And if you are using the phone while charging, it gets heated like hell. Also, batter backup has reduced over the years. But then, I feel its fine because its been 3 years. How much more you expect a battery to run? Still, with the kind of usage, Battery is just ok.
I have Nexus 4 Phone with 16 GB storage. I got 12 GB free storage. Rest was taken by the OS and pre-installed Apps. I am very sure my phone will be working fine for 6 more months at least.
By default I got Android 4.2 with the phone. I have upgraded it till 4.4, It was an official upgrade. It can be upgraded till 5.1, but I did not do it. After using this phone for 3 years, I am a big fan of Google Phones. I now ensure that whatever phone I purchase next, I purchase either Android in pure form as I did last time or iOS.
