Installation + my first time with a Lexmark:
I first got my Lexmark 1000 printer with my new Compaq PC. The installation of the printer was extremely easy, you just place the floppy into the A:\ and then just click a few buttons!
Ascetics:
The printer is nice in design, and a good size to fit into smaller places.
Good point:
The Lexmark 1000 is a good printer for people who are in an office or at home using banner paper. This is because the back of the printer removes so paper can be left on the table behind the printer and the paper can just be fed through and left to print!
Problems:
But when I wanted to print quite a few pages, it would only take one at a time, which I found annoying, since I had to print off coursework!!
What I think . . ..
The Lexmark 1000 - is a cheap printer, with only a few good things about it. In my advice go out and buy a more expensive printer - with better features, and better quality printing as well. The Lexmark 1000 - is good for people who hardly print any thing - but not good for regular printers
Cartridges Information:
The Lexmark can take black ink cartridge, and colour - but ONLY one at a time - this is a disadvantage, because if you want to print in black and white, you use your colour ink cartridge up.
Black ink cartridges cost around - £26.99
And colour costs - £29.99
I feel that these prices are way to high - you can buy ink cartridges for cheaper, and for better printers! A good thing about the cartridges is that they are easily taken out and placed back in!
