Is a restaurant only about food? Not really. Eating out has to be a wholesome experience. And that apart from food includes ambiance and service as well.
So if you are looking for that wholesome experience with fabulous chinese food on the menu - then Legacy of China is the place for you.
Situated in seven bunglows or as made popular by the owners of the restaurant, 6 1/2 bunglows, Legacy of China offers you great food, cosy ambiance, personal attention and efficient service.
The food at legacy, although priced a little on the higher side, compensates in terms of the quantity served.
The restaurant has food festivals in every quarter of the year - the sea food festival, chinese new year festivities, and the likes.
The staff is quite unlike most other restaurants. Almost all of them are decent, soft-spoken and truly believe in ''customer is always right'' philosophy.
There are seating arrangements outside if you are waiting for a table, which you need not if you book a table prior to coming to the restaurant.
And now if you do have to wait, the owners have a lounge bar just next to the restaurant called enigma, which serves drinks and starters (from the kitchen of legacy itself).
My favourites are the corn veggie rice, pompoms, and vegetables in hunan sauce. But there are many more varieties and choices the menu offers, again unlike many other chinese restaurants.
There is also chinese tea, adding to the authenticity of a chinese meal. Not to forget the fortune cookies!
It is quite a hot joint and there are people coming from all nooks and corner of Mumbai to enjoy the delightful experience that Legacy of China has to offer.
