I am so disappointed

I just finished reading Arathi Menon's book, Leaving Home with Half a Fridge. I have to say, I was not impressed by the writing quality. It was very slow paced and lacked in detail. I felt like she was trying to be too poetic and her story had no flow. The protagonist is also very hard to relate to as she has no personality traits that stand out or make you feel anything for her.

I'm not going to lie, I was a little hesitant to read this book. The title is so cliche and the synopsis seemed like it had been done before. But, I went ahead and gave it a try because I needed something light-hearted and funny. I'm glad that I did! Arathi Menon has a way of making her characters feel so real and relatable that you start rooting for them from the beginning.

I am so disappointed with this book. I was looking forward to reading it and thought it would be a fun summer read with all the anticipation of a new book. The author's writing style is choppy and confusing, the characters are dysfunctional, and there is no plot. It's just a bunch of random events that don't connect and make sense.
