Kyun ho gaya na!!!..the lovebirds-aish and vivek's first film together is eagerly awaited and so was its music..Before I started writing this review, I listened to the soundtrack of this movie not once..not twice..but thrice..and then I made up my mind...its DISAPPOINTING!!!..
Though not bad or anything like that..there's no song which actually registers in your mind..Its unfortunate as the music is by Shankar-Ehsan-Loy who are currently riding high on the success of Kal ho na ho and Lakshya..and the lyrics are by the very dependable Javed Akhtar..
The 2 best tracks in the album are ''Aao na ''sung beautifully by Sadhna Sargam and Udit Narayan..its a soft romantic number and its good while it lasts..and the other track is ''Pyar mein sau uljhanen''which has good orchestration and some energetic singing..but I don't know why this song reminds me so much of that song in AR Rahman's ''Sapnay''- remember ''Strawberry Ankhen''..maybe because its quite similar in mood and tenor to that song..
There are 2 ''fast numbers''-''Mein hoon'' and ''NO NO''..but they don't make any impact whatsoever..and of course there's one mandatory slow number-''Dheere Dheere'' which is so reminiscent of AR Rahman that you just wonder if the trio of Shankar-Ehsan-Loy were listening to the maestro's old soundtrack just before they composed this song..
Well sorrie...but Kyun ho gaya na...never happens...maybe it will sound better when the film's released..and if I sound really disappointed it is because it was carrying really good reviews on some websites..now I wonder what the fuss was all about..
