Its Krrish season folks and let’s talk about it. To be truthful I am impatiently waiting for the release of the awaiting Koi…Mil Gaya sequel, so are many of you out there. It would be dishonest from my side if I wouldn’t admit that Koi… Mil Gaya was one of the very few best movies I enjoyed over the last 5 years. And yet again I am waiting to enjoy a bollywood “blockbuster” with all my heart and senses.
Well I came across a little information on the movie, and the first thing that crossed my mind was to share them with you guys. Firstly what I came to know was that Amrita Rao was the primary choice for the role of Priya but Rakesh Roshan was spell bound by the performance of Priyanka in her special screening for Aitraaz (2004) that he couldn’t resist choosing her. Aishwarya Rai was also another option, but Priyanka was lucky enough to bag the opportunity. Secondly the working title for Krrish was Koi...Tumsa Nahin.
I got a little bit of sneak peak of the preview as well. Rohit Mehta (Hritik of Koi…Mil Gaya) and Nisha (Prieti Zinta) are married and have a kid boy. Eventually they both die in a car accidents and kid hritik is looked after by his granny, Rekha. As he grows older he starts to realize his super powers (which he receives from his father hritik, who was gifted powers by Jadoo in the previous movie).
The movie completely evolves about how he saves the world from the clutches of a villain played by Naseeruddin Shah.
Hritik (Krishna Mehta) , is a man gifted with extra ordinary strength , speed and intelligence. Krishna lives among beautiful mountains and loves the serenity and peace he is within. His world around him changes when he meets Priyanka (Priya) who comes there, from Singapore to enjoy her holidays camping and trekking. But when Priya leaves for Singapore Krishna looses all his enthusiasm and jest. His grand mother understands his change in emotions and advices him to go to Singapore to win her back.
And thus Krishna reaches Singapore in search of Priya only to find out the different and fast surroundings he comes to. But without loosing his confidence he changes his village looks to a modern hunk and adapts the new world naming himself as Krrish. After he wins back Priya into his life there happens to be a song in a carnival atmosphere where people are wearing marks of different kinds. The song continues into a circus, where a short cut happens to take place and the circus tents catch fire. Some power within pulls him in accomplishing the task of saving the people in need. Hence in order to hide his identity he covers himself with a burnt mask that lay near by and save them in a spectacular way. Thus began the hunt for the new Superhero in Singapore and a nation wide search was launched for this purpose. What happens rest in the movie is I guess, is the mission that he takes up to rescue the world from Dr. Siddarth Arya (played by Shah), a mad scientist who is on the verge to change the future forever.
Hritik is believed to appear in six different stunning features – an old man, and young guy from Koi…Mil Gaya, a village guy, a Singaporean modern guy, a Superhero image and there is a child artist who plays boy hritik.
Right now I would recommend every one to take the chance to watch the movie. I just have a small prayer that ‘god, please don’t put me into a situation where I have to come back and apologize for recommending Krrish’ (I promise to do so if some one regrets watching the movie because of me). Let’s just cross our fingers and hope that the father-son combo’s second adventure turn out to reach flying colours and not disappoint us, who are all awaiting for the sensation that one gets before entering a thrilling rollercoaster ride.
