The father-son duo shines in Krrish. The name which is derived from Krishna and the name which replaced Koi...Tumsa Nahin the initial name of the movie. Remind you this is not the first attempt to make a super hero in Bollywood. Shiva ka insaaf, Ajooba and the most recent Alag are all super hero attempts but just attempts.
The sequels have finally started winning in Bollywood after the success of Phir Hera Pheri. Remind you the previous sequels made were Nigaahein from Nagina. Hathyar from Vaastav etc but could not make it to anywhere close to the first ones.
After Phir Hera Pheri is Krrish and soon bollywood is going to witness Dhoom II, Munna Bhai meets Mahatma too which are sequels of Dhoom and Munna Bhai MBBS followed by Hanuman II & Kya kool hai hum II

Oh come on! Finally a new Hrithik movie has arrived after two years with a fully polished Hrithik and a great attempt of Rakesh Roshan to take hindi movies stand strong in front of Hollywood movies. Hrithik is just like Aamir, someone who moulds himself so much for just a five letter word movie.

The story...
If Rohit was abnormal because he was low on IQ Krishna his son is abnormal as he is too high in his IQ tests. Grandmother(Rekha) protects her and takes her to a remote location. Krishna grows up playing with animals and trees as no one even in the village thinks he is from amongst them. One day he saves life of a girl falling from the glider, Priya(Priyanka) who has come along with her trekking team to the outskirts of his village. Krishna plays a prank and scares the whole team acting as a ghost. Priya visits his house and mistakes Rohit's photo as Krishna who is a lookalike and get more horrified. Her team dont believe until they see a man who crawls and climbs up the mountain without any ropes or tools. Krishna breaks the prank and tell them the reality and in return he gets friendship of Priya, something he was waiting for years.

Priya's friend(Maninee De) notifies Priya that Krishna has fallen in love with Priya but Priya doesn't reciprocate and all she could do is leave him all alone as she has to head to her country Singapore from where she has come just for holidays.
The next day she alongwith her friend heads for resuming her office, a news channel just to learn from her boss(Archana Puran Singh) that they have lost their job for returning back 5 days late in office. Her friend patches it up saying they were working on a news which will rock the world, a wonder boy Krishna. Priya listens to her friend and makes a phone call to Krishna saying she loves him and its high time for her marriage so he should talk to her mom.
Krishna is happy, happier than ever as he has learned he just found a girl friend.

Krishna's grandmother stops him and after a heated argument reveals the secret of his parents death due to the supernatural power his father Rohit had. Krishna changes his mind initially but he gets the permission finally from his grandmother to go to Singapore. She dresses him up with clothes of his father and takes his oath to hide his powers from the cruel and selfish world.
Krishna reaches Singapore and a series of lies by Priya starts. Priya buys some time saying her mother is out in Hongkong and will return in 10 days. She tries all tactics to get out of Krishna his reality but Krishna never reveals as he has made a promise to his grandmother.
He makes a new friend Kristian on the street who is a localite earning hard for his sisters operation. Kristian invites Krishna to his circus where he works.
Krishna visits the circus along with Priya and all you get is a great song to watch: -
Dil Na Diya....
The tent catches fire accidently and Krishna jumps in the burning tent to help people with a mask which he finds just to hide his identity from Priya and the world.
Overnight he becomes an superhero whose name is what a saved kid reveals as Krrish actually a half uttered name Krrishna.
Krishna advices his friend Kristian to announce that he is Krrish and earn rewards for his sister's operation.
Priya's handycam accidently captures Krishna becoming Krrish. Here she catches his lie and there Krishna catches her lie. Krishna is disheartened as he is badly used by Priya for her benefits. On the airport Priya stops him as now she really loves him. She also introduces him to his father's friend(Sharat Saxena) who was searching for their family to reveal the secret that he is alive. He learns how his father's power was misused by Dr Arya(Naseeruddin Shah) who is the owner of the Techtronics company to make a powerful computer which can show future. Krishna now has a too big reason to stay back in Singapore.
Krishna finds Kristian lying dead and realises that Dr Arya has mistakingly killed kristian for being Krrish and he has seen his future that he is being killed by Krrish.
He fights the evil in his den and gets back his father.
Performances: -
Some nice action sequences & powerful performances should thrill the audience.
Hrithik's performance as father and son proves his talent and warns Abhishek Bachchan that he is not the sole nominee in the new league of jubilee stars after the Khans. Dil Na Diya is another feather in his cap as a dancer.
If Hema Malini was too good in Baghban Rekha is mindblowing in Krrish. She is the numero uno when it comes to acting.
Priyanka Chopra has done justice to her role and she is lucky again to have another hit with another hero. Remind you by now she has worked with all the leading heroes including Akshay, Salman, Abhishek, Sanjay Dutt, Bobby & Sunny and will soon appear with Shahrukh in Farhan Akhtar's Don II
Naseeruddin Shah need not prove anything coz only his presence on the screen counts.
Rakesh Roshan's hard work shows in every scene. Beautiful locations and his shot selections are indeed worth appreciation.
Almost every scene were drawn on cards first than enacted same as what is done in Hollywood movies.

Rajesh Roshan fails to compete with the current music directors specially 2 famous ones i.e.
Himesh who has given hits like Aashiq banaya aapne, Aksar, 36 China Town, Tom Dick & Harry, Phir Hera Pheri and Humko Deewana Kargaye
& Pritam who is shaking the country with Dhoom, Chocolate, Ek khiladi ek haseena, Garam Masala & Gangster.
Rajesh seems to be still in the late 90's with his tunes but the lyricists have penned situational lyrics plus good picturization makes you remember them & will echo in your ears.
Overall:- Worth a watch with the family on the big screen and avoid the smaller ones this time!
