Kotak Insurance is the worst insurance company according to my experience. I have suffered such a bad experience with two policies. The customer service desk people do not have the competence to understand the grievance of a customer and they try to send a casual, routine reply. The replies are quite illogical and inconsistent.
The illustration sheet shows surrender value for a particular policy eligible especially in a single premium policy . But they try to avoid settlement, mislead the customer and try to prolong in the name of unwritten lock in period. Their motive seems to be to defraud a customer and refuse any settlement and ultimately misappropriate the money legitimately due to customers and delay settlement on some pretext or other. You have to go to Ombusdman, IRDA to finally get the money. Please better avoid KOTAK
