4) The street food is quite good. Aloo parathas of russel dhaba in russel sreet is very famous. Tea and dudh-cola of balwant singh ka dhaba in bhawanipur is very famous. Aloo puri and jalebi of sharma's another famous place.

The price of hotels ranges from Rs.500 per night to Rs.25000 per night. So a lot of affordable places are available. So you will not find it difficult to stay in kolkata.
Kolkata is very safe for anyone. Even if you roaming around at 12 midnight, yet you will find people around. There are working street lights everywhere, so you will not find dark and alone at any place.
