I visited Kodaikanal in the month of March 2020 just before the outbreak of Corona in India. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tamil Nadu. The hill station is in the Palani hill range, which is administered by the Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu. This Tamil Nadu town has captivating settings and exciting activities to offer its visitors. Along with striking natural settings and a soothing and calm environment, this town in the Palani hills has many other places worth seeing.

I took a flight to Madurai and from Madurai Airport I went to Kodaikanal by car.
Take home: Kodai cheese(cheddars, gruyere, and processed cheese), handcrafted chocolates, items made by local women using embroidery techniques, and souvenirs from the Cottage Crafts Shop and Art Gallery, where you can purchase small pieces of art and other trinkets.

April to May – Peak tourist season; pleasant weather but crowded
September to December– Excellent weather and less crowded
January is also good but will be chilling cold.
The most exciting of all of the locations is Kodai Lake. One can enjoy boating in Kodai Lake. It is Kodai Lake from which the call of Kodaikanal has been derived. Thus, you go to the hill station, go to the lake shouldn’t be ignored in any case. There reams every other exciting location to head for sightseeing.
