I had the unfortunate opportunity to visit KMCH Emergency last night when I was very critically ill. The Emergency duty doctors were absolutely careless and delayed my treatment whilst wandering around aimlessly. They were all collected at a desk chit-chatting while patients were in pain and awaiting treatment.
When I addressed the doctor respectfully the lady doctor (VishnuPriya I believe) was offended unnecessarily and was very egoistic. I was in very severe pain and she didn't bother reading the medical chart but wanted me to repeat my whole medical history that I and my family had provided when I got admitted. She didn't even bother examining me and no doctors even bothered to find out where the pain originated.
They gave me drugs and injections which were of no use or relief to me. They delayed my scan for no reason. Made me wait for very long. When I asked for my family members to be let in so I can ask them to find out my scanning details they (Dr Gautham I believe was adamant and rude) refused to let my family member in. The staff also refused to pass the messages.
Meanwhile my family had been waiting under a tree surrounded by mosquitoes and were not let in at 3 am similar to other family members who had been waiting under the trees for long hours in the middle of the night. I got fed up after waiting for over 4 hours to be responded and treated too. An elderly patient in my next bed in ICU mentioned that she had been there for over a day and she's still in pain with no pain reliefs.
I could see that they were careless, rude, ridiculous and egoistic. I couldn't see anyone caring or showing service mentality to their patients. I could see how the rest of my stay would be. I waited endlessly for my family to be called. I informed them that I'll walk out if they failed to call my family to attend to me. I asked my family to discharge me immediately so I could be taken to another hospital. They further delayed my discharge summary and billing.
In any case, as soon as I was being discharged they abandoned any further visits to even monitor my vitals. The staff brought me in a wheelchair and left me in the middle of the corridor while the vehicle was ready for boarding. But thank God I managed to get out before it was too late.
I was rushed to another hospital where I'm currently being treated. I vowed to never visit KMCH if this is how they treat their Emergency patients. The duty doctors must be made to repeat their oaths and must be sent back to schools to learn some manners. I hope God will ensure that they have some personal life lessons to learn sympathy and courteousness so they don't consider themselves as egoistic doctors but simply as heathcare professionals with service attitude.
Ashamed to have used their facilities and for some of my extended family members even working here. I'd stay away from these money-minded ruthless scumbag Emergency duty doctors. Please visit reputed charitable hospitals that seem to be more service-oriented unlike these egoists.
