I have always used KK Travel for journey to and from Mumbai International to Pune. This time my experience was very poor with KK Travel.
On 19 Nov on my trip to Pune, we hired AIRPORT CHARTER CAB. During journey Driver must have made four personal calls(possibly his wife), he used hands free but was on the speakerphone so we could hear their conversation properly. He was keep asking her how is she feeling and if she has taken her medication. In addition, the bottle of medication fallen etc. We just ignored.
Is this some kind of emotional blackmailing he was trying? I am not sure if he was genuine or not. However, after long journey of 22 hours we wanted to reach home. We were not interested at all in his personal matters. He could have used his earphones and kept the conversation to himself. That is what I feel.
On our return journey from Pune to Mumbai Airport that was the worst experience, I had.
I booked AIRPORT CHARTER CAB on 08 Dec for 11 Dec journey from Pune to Mumbai airport pick up at 04:30am. I also got the confirmation via email.
On the night at 10 Dec, I rang KK Travel to confirm the booking, which was confirmed to be picked up next morning at schedule time 04:30am.
Next day morning we were all waiting for the cab to turn up, until 04:30am he did not. Therefore, I thought of ringing KK Travel HO, there was miss call at 00:05 am on my phone. With my sixth sense, I guessed it could be from KK travels. Therefore, I rang that number and it was the driver who was supposed to pick us up.
He was still asleep. I reminded him about the pickup. He argued that he tried to ring us last night to confirm our booking for tomorrow but no one picked the phone so he just decided not to turn up. I told him I already booked and confirmed the booking with the head office. He then said he would reach within half an hour from to my place.
I rang KK travel office to know what is going on. They said the driver is on his way that is all.
After making few calls eventually, the driver arrived 1 hour and 15 minutes late.
We were ready waiting on the road; we quickly loaded our luggage without wasting more time.
To make it worst he stopped at the petrol pump on the highway to refuel his cab it took further 25minutes delay as it was early morning and the petrol station had just opened. So total delay from the schedule was about two hours with no fault of us.
No need to tell the driver was doing very rash driving, overtaking vehicles etc. The worst thing he was using his mobile phone to select and play songs while driving. The song choice was of his own that too on the loud speakers when my wife and kids were trying to sleep. The Cab was filthy.
We were very worried praying not to have any accident.
Eventually reached the Airport just in time thank God. However, that was the worst experience I had with KK, I can say.
