So am very slow reader basically and it took me three days with a lot of uninvited breaks in between to finish Hosseni's amazing work. the book talks about two friends in the middle of the war. Set in the capital city of Afghanistan, the book talks about the relationship between two boy- one from the upper caste and the other from the lower caste. both of the bonded very much over kites, so the name. their relationship breaks due to certain things and the rich friend moves to America as a refugee and comes back again to find his best friend's son who was taken by the Taliban.
