Recently saw this movie being played on some movie channel and like it very much....Director of this movie is Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
Star Cast includes :Ashok Kumar, Rakesh Roshan, Rekha, Dina Pathak, Shashikala and many more...
Story: Their's a family run by Nimala Devi (played by Dina Pathak and her husband 's role is played by Ashok Kumar) runs her household and family in a very strict and authoritarian manner.
Nirmala Devi has four sons, eldest one married, second one about to get married, third just became a doctor and the youngest one a student. Most of the family member's don't like this but still they have no option but obey it and follow her instructions.
Things start to change after her second son gets married to Anju. Manju(Rekha), Anju's sister, comes over to stay for a few days with the Gupta family, and is accepted by everyone except Nirmala. Nirmala's third son intends to marry Manju.
But Manju does not like the manner in which his mom bosses everyone along, and feels some changes are needed in the Gupta household.
