Hi Guys, I am back with one more movie review. KHEL.
KHEL stars Sunil Shetty, Sunny Deol, Celina Jaitely, Ajay Jadeja
Ok...guys....in the first part the movie is so boring so boring so boring so boring ( condone me for reiterating this phrase, but I mean it, it was really needed to emphasize.) I can't tell u.
So Whats in the 1st half....a friendship of 22 ys between A Business Tycoon, Sunil Shetty and a magnanimous, philanthropist Ajay Jadeja. Both of them fall in love with a same girl, a painter cum interior decorator Celina Jaitley. Old Hindi movies formula (Sorry I dont know the formula number!!!)
Now the types of love both of these guys have in their heart is different. Rohan (Ajay Jadeja) loves her simply, from heart and its just a normal love stemed from a trivial friendship. Dev's ( Sunil Shetty) love is passionate, obsessive and there it leads to problems.
But now the fate is in hands of Saanjh ( Celina )....she loves the guy who is decent ( comeon every heroine will love the hero not the villian, so she loves Rohan not Dev).
Dev comes to know this fact and he deliberately plans to entangle Rohan in a murder case. There Rohan is arrested for a murder of a bar girl whom he didn't murder intentionally, it was just an accident. Dev, with power of his money, buys Advocates, Police, Witnesses and Rohan is jailed for 14 years and every1, including our heroine, curse him ( Rohan) for being such a cheat.
That was the 1st half...poorly depicted....have nothing that impresses, just the sound quality, interiors shown and the colours of the movie are good.
Haan bhai haan, first half is over and still our Sunny praaji has not yet entered.
But don't worry, he has one of the best entries ever given to him in this movie. I think his market value will again go up, may be this time to 10 crores!!!!!
So now the 2nd half, Guys this second half is so impressive so impressive so impressive so impressive ( again condone me for this reitration, but its really necessary) that I just didn't have patience and have just sit down to write a review, hardly half an hour after seeing the movie.
Sunny Praaji enters in an equianimous action sequence, breaking bones of bad men and making guys piss in their clothes. He is called ACP Scindia. He is happened to transfer to Mumbai and he finds that Rohan ( whom he met once) has been jailed for 14 ys. His heart refuses to agree to this and there he takes pledge to find what's the truth. How he exonerates Rohan becomes the best part of the movie.
Sunny Deol has put his soul into the movie. His punjabi conversation with Gulshan Grover was very impressive, every1 laughed and enjoyed it really. His dialogue '' Mein jo Keh Raha Hoon, Hone wala He'' has a power. His sudden decisions are surprising but still appreciable.
Overall, movie was nice just because of Sunny Deol. But guys there were somethings that I wanna confute. I am a law student and the legal things shown in the movie were some incorrect. For eg: The method of criminal proceedings shown are just not at all like that. Secondly, No police officer has power to challenge the pleas taken by the advocates inspite of he proves them to be wrong. But here he does. Thirdly, witnesses who had been criminals before, their evidence have no value in law but still it was being followed. Fourthly, No police officer can enter any1's home without warrant but here Sunny Praaji does and that too with the media people. Kya praaji, baat hajam nahi hui!!!! And moreover, guys, I really feel encouraged when I see the exotic court rooms, but have any1 of u, seen the real courtrooms? They are just like hell.
Music. 3 songs are good. 1st song....Lokan ne piti Tupka Tupka is the best song. Its a dance number just stolen nearly completely from Punjabi Singer Babbu Mann's album Miss India.
2nd good song is, Jadoo sa, its a romantic song, nice 1. Third good song is, Kya yeh pyaar he, very nice romantic song.
Performance wise:
SUNNY DEOL: Sorry I am weak etymologically to use any gr8 words to suit his personality. He was just best again after GADAR.
SUNIL SHETTY: Sorry Sunil, The business tycoon personality doesnot suit you. You ought to suit just in comic roles like Gopi Kishan and Hera Pheri. And mind it, that french beard doesn't suit u at all. Anyways guys, Sorry, I was talking to Sunil. Anyways....he has tried to act just like he did in Dhadkan, but he cudn't.
CELINA JAITLEY: A showpiece kept in a movie, just to attract viewers. Guys ( not Gals) do u wanna see sexy scenes, bare legs, beautiful girl, she is for u. Acting wise she is poor. I didn't understand 1 thing, why was she speaking the movie just like she is whispering. No bold voice. Come on Celina, acting means acting like Juhi Chawla did in Daraar, like Shabana Azmi did in God Mother, like Kajol did in all her films, being voiceferous, and full of energy. And guys u know what, she was just like a ''Batatawara Chatni'' going from 1 plate to another. 1st for Ajay, when he got convicted then for Sunil, when he got convicted then back to Ajay. Thank God both Ajay and Sunil weren't convicted together, then in that case she wud have gone to Sunny Praaji. That wud have ruined the movie!!!
AJAY JADEJA: Hehehehe....hehehehe....Another stupid creature in a film. Nothing in his acting. I can challenge, any1 can act like him. But guys I don't have to be so mean to a newcomer. He has a nice smile and voice. But guys I don't understand why was he so magnanimous in the movie. He was just a modern contemporary Mahatama Gandhi: ''Koi tumhein lootne aaye, to uska bhi bhala karo.''
So Overall, 2 worst actors ( ajay and celina) 1 ok ( sunil) and 1 more than best (sunny).
Story is ok. Music is ok. 1st half was worst. 2nd half was best.
So I need to give it 2.5 stars. But no option here. So let it be 3.
