Me and my friends have decided to visit the places in Himachal Pradesh - Dalhousie, Mcleod Ganj and Khajjiar in May 2014. And I will review here about Khajjiar. We had decided to go Pathankot by our own car and then we booked a cab from Pathankot to Dalhousie.
Well we started our journey in night around 11PM from New Delhii. The overall distance from New Delhi to Pathankot is 500 KM by road. We reached Pathankot at 8AM morning. And we picked our cab and relax in cab. We were relaxing in cab because me and my friend was drove the car whole night. Anyways we reached Dalhousie approx 1 PM and we stayed in a very good hotel named "Hotel Kings". At the same day we decided to visit some local places in Dalhousie and next day we were planned to visit Khajjiar. The distance from Dalhousie to Khajjiar is approx 21 KM.
And we reached Khajjiar approx 12 noon. We visited whole khajjiar and took some photographs from the experts who were already there to take best photograph.
The most attractive thing in Khajjiar is the weather of Khajjiar was awesome and looks of that place was so natural and greenish. There was a small pool in middle of the ground.
We also find a very old wood house settled there but there was someone inside the house.
Overall the Khajjiar place has so peace and fresh air. It was a natural place given by God.
The best time to visit this place is March to June
Local Sightseeing in Khajjiar
Paragliding and Zorbing: It was the best adventurous activity there to do. We enjoyed a lot while doing this. Horse riding were also there but we didn't do that.
Golden Devi Temple: As it's name suggested there is a golden dome. The temple is very close by to the Khajjiar lake, there is also a golf course near this temple.
Lord Shiva Statue: There is also a big statue of Bhagwaan Shiv. That place is upstairs from the Khajjiar field. The statue is about 85 ft tall.
Some other places are also there to visit but we couldn't go these places: Khaji Nag temple, Tibetan Handicrafts Center and HP State Handicrafts Center.
