I did a lot of research between the different water purifiers and finally decided to narrow down on Kent after reading its reviews. Little did I realize that I would be sucked into a never ending money losing machine. Every now and then, there is some part or the other that goes wrong and needs to be replaced. First there is a hefty charge for the technician just for visiting you. Then the parts come at a huge price. The technician has also been trained to sell you something that you may not want. In short, they have manufactured a money-spinner for themselves and so be prepared. You may be lured by a low initial cost, but the subsequent spares and maintenance can be a huge burden. They should be giving a warranty of 3 or more years for you to feel that you have made a wise investment.
There is one more thing. The water purifier is RO based and a lot of water is wasted away. The water wasted is almost equal to what you get for drinking. In other words, for each glass of water you drink, one glass is wasted away due to the filtration processs. If you dislike wasting water, you'd need to plan the installation such that the waster water is collected in some bucket that you can use for cleaning your house or other such things.
I've also noticed that the review summary for this says that 64% of the reviewers have given it a 1 star rating. However mouthshut shows the summary as 4 Stars. Not sure what process they follow.
