This is How We Cooked a Special Dish. Review on Katti Batti

"Katti Batti" starred by Kangana and Imran, supposed to be a movie contain the mixture of "Romance" and "Commedy".  Since we like to watch commedy films thought of watching it on 2nd day of its release.  Booked the tickets online and reached the theater in Bangalore.  It was almost the time of the show we landed there, to our surprise the surroundings of the theatre was looked vacant, only here and there few staffs were moving around.  Seeing us hurrying up one of them approached us and guided  to collect the tickets and accompanied to the entrance.

The movie had just started, could hear some kind of music and sounds like cartoons.  We looked around to occupy our seat.  Almost all seats were empty, we could have occupied any seats. still we didn't want to do that.  Could notice few of them in 1st two rows and few couples here and there. Observing the mood of the audience around our mind too slipped into a barren land.

Concentrated on the scenes. couldn't follow any screen, just like cartoon movies all of a sudden scenes started shifting one to another. We thought that it would be a flash back of the story, but it continued in the same way. Time started challenging our patience. What to do we have come down all the way spending precious time, thinking that it would be better after intermission we tucked to our seats for which we emptied our pocket.

During the break we relaxed ourselves with munching popcorn.  Once again Katti Batti's action began on the screen. Couldn't find any relief, it continued in the same fashion of 1st half. Entire links were missing not only the head and tail, even body too missed.  The screening of the movie touched on the last lap of 15 minutes. fine we could feel little bit that we are watching a movie. It started conveying messages to the audience for their patience. Finally this Romantic Commedy movie ended in a Tragic note. But it couldn't catch the mind of the audience. Observed most of the audience got up from the seat with a great sigh of relief with a smile."What a Tragedy".  A cooked movie.  while coming out of the theatre we compared it to a new dish we cooked without any proper idea of the ingredients to be added to it. That was like this.

A day of holiday, we were in a relaxing mood then in between throught, fine we, myself and daughters, decided try to prepare a new dish. So, all three of us joined together in kitchen and started the activities.  Washed a Kadai and placed it on the stove. Then we started thinking what dish can we cook?. Any way one by one we started,  said fine I am going to pour a spoon full of cooking oil in Kadai. Oil heated up. I picked up little bit mustard seeds and put in the hot oil. It started breaking with sound. Younger daughter felt discomfort immediately added sugar in it, by the time elder one collected curry leaves from fridge washed and added . I managed to chop a onion and added that one also.  What next?. Oh daughter couldn't withstand the smell. She poured water in Kadai.  Fine what to do now. Elder one remembered about the fried sooji in a container. She transferred a tumbler full of sooji in kadai. All ingredients started boiling.  Younger one like sweet so she added two spoons of honey, but everything in kadai was looking pale, she wants it to look colourful. What can we add? She looked around. yes, the turmeric power,  it could change items in kadai to a golden colour. A spoon of turmeric entered in kadai, but some how she didn't satisfy with that. Again opened the door of the fridge, noticed carrot, removed it cleaned and chopped that too added. Nice it turned colourfull. Why can't we add tomoto, then it would look much better, elder one opined, fine all agreed,  tomoto also entered in Kadai. "ho gaya" this is enough. Many ingridients one after another got into the Kadai, and  a dish came out of it. Yes, when we tasted the dish, it was good, we could eat. Absolutely we didn't have an idea, from start to end, what is going to come out from the Kadai. So we called it as "Katti Batti".
